Boris Bows out as PM , Tomorrow. With his Party in a pretty poor shape in the opinion Polls. The key difference between now and then, is that in 2019 The Tories were well ahead of Labour , while now they are well behind Labour. ...He has damaged the Cons almost a bad as Thatcher did. and will put them out of Govt for some time ...

oh shut up tora you nasty old bully
It's not bullying to test whether someone really believes their own rhetoric.
When Boris takes his last look at no.10 he’ll say,’ We has some great parties in there ‘ . :-) .
i hope that the tories will lose the next election but i am not optimistic they will… they still control much of the press who will generate the same old “red scare “ from the last three elections… they have seriously weakened the electoral commission after they broke the rules which safeguard our democracy last time… and the electoral system gives them an overall advantage. They also have a very big parliamentary majority (even though the majority of uk voters do not vote tory) which labour cannot overturn in a hurry….

we are stuck with zombie government for years ahead i fear… things have done nothing but either get worse or stagnate in the last 12 years so i am not optimistic about this country’s future. Oh well.
what you are doing is bullying tora

Boris and The Tory Party are now Obsolete and out of date . "Oh Happy day".
if you do not have the capacity or inclination to show someone how they are wrong then you should probably zip it rather than bully them for the crime of disagreeing with you

Untitled, TTT is not Bullying . He is all urine and wind.
untitled: "(even though the majority of uk voters do not vote tory)" - err more voted Tory than any other party.
a plurality and a majority are different things
Polls mean absolutely nothing til a month before a general election. Why do you keep banging on about this? What on earth is the point of a poll taken a few days before the appointment of a new PM? It's meaningless.
untitled: "what you are doing is bullying tora " - challenging the gutless over their rhetoric that they don't even believe themselves is not bullying.
untitled: "if you do not have the capacity or inclination to show someone how they are wrong then you should probably zip it rather than bully them for the crime of disagreeing with you " - I do it every day but gully keeps spouting the same BS, I just want to test his confidence in his own BS, clearly he has none.
who cares if he doesn’t believe it? If you think he is wrong then argue… don’t insult people for not wanting to gamble with you.
Gulliver: Do wish you could understand that the Conservative Party is the most effective machine in the history of democratic politics and they'll win again - just as they have done for the best part of a hundred years. Get it?
untitled: "a plurality and a majority are different things " - No party in history has ever received over 50% of the vote.
In our history yes, because of the electoral system we use… as paigntonian points out, the tories have been the chief beneficiary there.
Do wish Tora (so good he named himself thrice),'untitled' and one other could shut up for a change. It's predictable, tedious and sclerotic.
Paigntonian: "Gulliver: Do wish you could understand that the Conservative Party is the most effective machine in the history of democratic politics and they'll win again - just as they have done for the best part of a hundred years. Get it?" - He doesn't get it, that's why he keeps spouting the same BS. Labour have existed 122 years, of those they have been in power for 23.9, in the same period the Tories have been in power for 68.8. I wonder why?
Tora. Agreed.
