It’s official.

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/boris-johnson-worst-prime-minister-ipsos-poll-b1022192.html?amp

I post this because there are some sycophants on here who reasoned that because he fared fairly well in the recent poll on here that despite lying and covering for a sexual predator he ought to still be in post(the ‘wet dream’ scenario, excusing such behaviour for the greater good).
One foolishly believes that AB is a microcosm of the outside world and AB polls are an indicator for such.
I’d reason that said poll(about next PM) of what, maybe 80 ABers at best, most of whom are 50+ is not really reflective of the real world?
Others tell us though that polls in the real world are not reflective, nor record-breaking swings in by-elections.
Who to believe eh?
Furthermore, the next PM believes he did a brilliant job and the media, not his own behaviour and parliamentary party did for him.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

The Johnson Premiership has been chaotic. Mostly self inflicted mistakes. He promoted loyalty above talent, so the Government is full of incompetent duffers. He is a poor planner and tactician and was easily influenced by the wrong people. But his biggest failing is that he wasn’t truthful. When everyone knows you are lying, you lose all respect from...

He can not possibly be. He got Brexit through as demanded by the prople in the face of self interested anti-democratic opposition/attacks. Makes him a candidate for best, not worst. But you knew that didn't you.
Well, it’s a poll.

Not a scientific study.

Define how he ‘got Brexit through’?
There are still enormous difficulties with it and Truss has no idea how to deal with them.
1,100 people surveyed out of a population of 67 million. 49% - about 500 - said he was the worst prime minister ever so I guess the other 51% said he wasn't - and it's 'official'? What makes it 'official' - or even an accurate assessment?
not wet dream
he has seven kids innit ?

and Fatticus fantabulosa - Callaghan, Baldwin, all score worse

oh and whilst I am here
apolz and dubbl sozza
I said that Campbell Bannerman had to go to Nice ( much nicer in Nice) to get asked to be PM by Edward VII because he couldnt pull himself away from the girlies ( hur hur hur) and gaming tables
it was
HH Asquith, Biarritz - and the gaming tables - right King tho
let history be the judge - time will tell
certainly the worst in my memory; but there may have been 18th-century nonentities who were worse still.
Perhaps your memory is failing, jno.

Lol, I’d reason that it’s more accurate and reflective of the public mood than the AB poll on here the other day that you deemed as gospel! ROFL.
nope. He makes Major, May and Douglas Home look good. That's about as far back as my memory goes.
The AB Boris groupies will disagree .
We can only hope Truss is an improvement .
1,100 people surveyed out of a population of 67 million.
yeah foo Naomi this is to do with - how big has a quota to be in order to get an accurate figure out of the whole population

I have to say it looks 50-50 to me

https://emj.bmj.com/content/20/5/453

and.... to detect a 49-51 difference - I think the sample is around 2 000.
He makes May look good !!!!!! pmsl
spotted the mistake: quota = sample sozza
//I’d reason that it’s more accurate and reflective of the public mood //

That isn't 'reason' though, fatticusinch. Your 'reason' is based on a flawed claim. Less than half of that pathetically small sample agree with you. The rest - the majority - presumably don't.
oh, to accurately estimate a proportion in 67m
you need a sample of 67m - nope - today's AB howler....
pathetically small sample - nope
the sample is a little small
and it looks like 50-50

the danger ( erg stats, I loathe them) - is that the small sample says no difference when there is ( a difference)
( classical Type II error, er or Type I)

Doubtful. I can’t recall a previous PM who lied to the Queen, Parliament and public, broke the law whilst in office, illegally prorogued Parliament, went against all advice and appointed a Russian peer who is deemed a risk by the Security Services nor any who have covered up for and lied about knowledge of a predatory sex pest who was appointed to enforce party discipline.

I’ll ask for the umpteenth time Naomi, where is your evidence to the contrary that he’s definitely the worst?
Care to point out any previous PM’s of the lady 60 years with such an unsavoury record in office?
You must have an idea, you’re always very certain despite any evidence to the contrary?
Fatti; Have you nothing better to do than keep posting these fatuous posts ?
I've told you, fatticusinch - if you want my opinion you should have read my posts. I won't join you in boring people senseless with incessant repetition.
