The Moskva sank on 14 April 2022 after being damaged by fire. Ukrainian officials said their forces hit Moskva with two R-360 Neptune anti-ship cruise missiles, setting her on fire in heavy seas. The Russian Ministry of Defence said she sank after a fire caused a munitions explosion.

Could this be a turning point in the war ? I hope so.

//They still deny the warship was sunk by Ukraine//
In which case why do they bomb a missile factory in Kviv?
Worse things happen at sea.
Not for them it didnt.

Good shot from Ukraine.
12.27 Washington should send him a note asking if he needs any advice or help, out of that big hole he is digging for his country. Failing that does he want to rent a decent warship and a intelligent crew. :)

Not wishing for an environmental disaster, but I can see many ships in the Black Sea within range, on MarineRadar. Couple of big oil tankers look vulnerable.
^^ But Turkey has blocked Russian access to the Black sea
“ ToraToraTora
....but they are bombing Kyiv in "retaliation"!”

Probably.
But not officially :-)
As Ukraine’s defence ministry has pointed out to Russia: access to the Black Sea is blocked but not exit :-)
//I hope the crew were rescued - they don't deserve to die for Putin's insanity.//

Well if they can't take a joke they shouldn't have joined.

Khandro,
Russia has a naval base a Sebastopol where many ships are based.
Turkey has indeed forbidden access to the sea to vessels from other parts of the world, but Russian and Ukraine (and Bulgaria) ships based in the Black Sea are allowed to come and go as they like.
I am currently seeing ships in port, tankers and others.

Ukraine have drones for pinpointing targets. But the US and UK have better ones flying there now. I hope they are passing on their data.
It was a Turkish drone that diverted the Moskva apparently :-)

To be clear:
What Turkey is stopping entering true Bosphorus specifically are Russian warships from other ports. So it cannot reinforce its Black Sea Fleet
NJ, //Well if they can't take a joke they shouldn't have joined.//
Putin has been conscripting people to replace the ones lost.
would you have said that when ours sailors died in their thousands in WW11 killed by Germans ?
you don't come across as very humane with a crass remark like that
thats for NJ
I thought it was quite funny
And in any case the comparison is hardly relevant given the Russians are the enemy and not “our side”

For most of us that is …
No need to ask whos side Itchycopark is supporting.Whats the weather like in Moscow like right now, comrade?
....or is it out of St.Petersburg where the PutinBots work from nowadays...whatever...
"Well if they can't take a joke they shouldn't have joined." What's the joke?
^^ It's called irony - you get a lot of it in warfare. Lighten up.
