to Russia and Belarus
"Those who want to leave Kyiv will also be able to be airlifted to Russia, the ministry said, adding it would use drones to monitor the evacuation."
Ethnic cleansing and propaganda in one fell swoop

very cynical, who in their right mind would enter Russia from Ukraine... i have been watching the news since early and it all seems so hopeless.
In the words infamously used in Star Wars, I have a bad feeling about this! I fear we may see concentration camps cropping up like the ones during the Balkan wars 30 years ago. And yes, ethnic cleansing. Horrifying prospect.

I am not suggesting they'd be badly treated - necessarily.
Unless perhaps they started telling the truth to people.
That would be a bit of a risk for the hosts.

But the point is, they'd not be allowed back.
//I am not suggesting they'd be badly treated - necessarily.//

Well I would. Fast track to a Gulag for many I fear.

Even before all this anyone trusting Russia (Kremlin) would have to be mad. OK, its not commie USSR but its still a very dictorial State run by the Kremlin.

As I reported last week they had already been bussing some villagers from around Kharkiv across the border

One piece of better news: Ukrainian forces have retaken Chuhuiv, near Chernihiv.
So much for the mighty Russian army.
Only our fear of nukes is surely stopping their defeat.
What sort of peace will nuclear weapons keep?
blow us all to kingdom come...
I wonder how reliable their nuclear weapons actually are?

After the cold war it was found many weapons were dummies.

Not that I'd like to find out, just one working would be devastating.
As far as nuclear weapons go Putin's problem is that he cant it every NATO country at the same time,so if he launched a nuclear weapon at any country the retaliation from NATO countries would be devastating.

I am not sure if they ever went away....during the war. Lviv was a prison-city - a concept pioneered by the Nazis
