Good. It’s about time. Now they need to sort the postal voting out.
what have the links got to do with the story?>
Sorry, Bednobs.
It moves on to the House of Lords now so it's not a certainty.
Obviously politicians who benefit from voter fraud will be against it.
//Government data has found 11 million electors do not have a passport or photographic driving licence in the UK.//

Interpretation. ... Not issued to the name being used to "vote" but already used in another. .
I don't see what possible objections there could be. Next abolish postal voting that's as bent as a nine bob.
you have to show ID at the tip for gawd sake.
You can vote in the UK without showing any official type of identification?!
True, Tora, but there's a lot more rubbish in Westminster.
Yes, Sanmac, I just take a polling card which comes through the post. No ID needed.
you don't even need the polling card. TBF though most voting fraud is done via post.
I'm one of those 11 Million Togo, thanks for interpreting me.
Someone please reassure me that there are not 10,999,999 more.
On the plus side, when the turn out is very low, we will get the result in half the time.
TOGO, I don't have a passport or a driving licence with a photo.
We have to show ID in order to vote in Federal, Provincial, or Municipal elections. These take the form of a driver's license, Federal or Provincial issued ID cards, or passport...No ID:No votee!
Togo 19:00, in this day and age it's easy to get photo ID so anyone whining about that hasn't got a leg to stand on. You get Photo ID at the Post office for £15. I assume the right to vote is worth more than 15 sovs??
I have a postal vote too as I can't predict if I will be able to get to the polling station or not. Don't far me with your nasty brush. It's a way of enabling the disabled, or those with erratic domestic situations to participate in the process as is our right!
