Ken, //Far too much of his last manifesto has been torn to shreds//
It's impossible to stick to intentions when you're suddenly presented with something unforeseen. When your roof unexpectedly collapses it's not something you bargained for - or allowed for in your budget - therefore goal posts have to be shifted in order to deal with drastically changed circumstances.
I've read emmie's posts - and your contention that dishonesty equates to rudeness doesn't make sense and never will. It's nonsense.
Why is BS's opinion unfortunate for her, Anneasquith. I'd say the imposition of the burka is unfortunate for those expected to hide from society for life. I don’t understand why anyone supports that. Do you think you’re doing those women a favour - or are you attempting to be 'right on' and ending up 'right off'?
And such moral superiority too, Shirley. I can't think why anyone imagines that supporting suppression of anyone renders them morally superior. It doesn't. And you're unfortunate? Supporters of the burka need to examine their moral values - and carefully.
