I received my new card and it has changed from visa to mastercard, however | went to pay for something online and my bank has blocked it. I have ordered about 3 times before under visa - so is the mastercard making a difference.

Somewhere along the line bank is thinking it is an international payment but it is UK.

You could make a start by asking your bank about the problem.
Are you sure its UK?
Anyway have you activated it or used it in a transaction where you need to enter your PIN

bookbinder - I can't hear well on the phone. There used to be on Santander - send secure message and that was great but they have taken it off and you have to use that stupid Bot thing - absolutely hopeless.
They may be expecting you to set up authorisation

My new Mastercard arrived a couple of days ago with a sticker on saying that to activate it I need to enter the PIN in a transaction.
