You get on a plane and the cabin crew / pilot says Good Morning Ladies & Gentlemen, would you be offended by that?
All this binary twaddle is a step too far, they even say they don’t want to make CHILDREN feel left out !!!!

I only learnt this morning TCL that there are people who don’t identify as either :0(
Perhaps that explains why some feel excluded from, "Ladies and gentlemen"?
Question Author
But it’s been that way for years now ,so is it we need to pander to the minority ?
Bobbi why does it bother you how someone wishes to identify? why the scowl face emoji? As far as I can gather it's not the LGBT community that have asked for this change.

It’s a debate APG not a scowly face either , more a I don’t understand one, I could go down the path of I have Gay friends but then no doubt that would be dissected also, so let’s just say I don’t understand binary people and I don’t understand why we have to pander to any minority :0) smiley face :0( shrugging face ;0 winking face
We have at work meetings meetings for a long time now replaced Hello Ladies and Gentleman or similar with Hello Everyone.

If the use of Ladies and Gentleman makes some people feel excluded I don' think a change of phrase is a huge ask even if you don't understand it. Hello everyone is not offensive to anyone.
No big deal.
The best airline i have down with was Royal Air Brunei. It was like a spa break. The loo/washroom had all sorts of expensive perfumes, face and hand creams. The service was wonderful, the food was great and I didn't fly first class! We even had prayers on each take off and landing. No Alcohol served!
I agree: “good morning everyone”

What’s wrong with that.
I don't even listen to the greeting, if I am honest.

Oh come down from your high horses :0)))
It’s a debate not me being angry or upset :0)))) ( laughing emoji)
Binary people are simply men and women. It's the 'non-binary' people that are confusing.
"But it’s been that way for years now ,so is it we need to pander to the minority ?"

Are you saying that as long as something (regardless of what that is) is fine for the majority, no change need be made for others?
Question Author
Lofty it tends to be a big muffled from the flight deck, he/ she could be telling us all to shut up haha
Prayers on take off and landing may be more alarming that 'Ladies and Gentlemen'.
Bobbi please advise the sentiment behind your emoji at 12.37 because it looks very much to me like a scowly face lol!
Couldnt care less, I hate BA, worse airline I flew on (although only business). Lounge was shut at JFK, plane was a wreck (and dmaged my clothes, stewardesses had their heads up their backside. Truly terrible. went back to Virgin / UA. The Virgin lounges are superb.
Question Author
Thank you JD
If you like going down that road Corby, that’s fine by me although I think the whole thing is going too far ( No , not just BA)
I fail to understand why anyone would object to this newish form of greeting . It’s hardly going to impact on any of our lives, is it ?
Question Author
I didn’t rate it at all either ymb, so they can open with what they want as I won’t use them again :0))))
I can't believe that anybody can get offended. The whole thing is stupid.
