// lots of people out of the Olympics // indeed. i guess the point of raising this is that Ms Hubbard's exit postpones an inevitable argument......

Out of the Olympics for failing 3 times to provide a presentable snatch

Apologies because I was sent that as a meme

As jokey as it is it is factually correct
Naomi24 made her point on page one and still on page 6 she isn't adding anything else to the discussion rather than her "I'm right you're wrong" attitude. It seems she has a personal vendetta against the trans community. Borderline hate crime I thinks.
But you go even further than ‘I’m right, you’re wrong’, NTKP. You don’t only assume you know what I think, you insult me into the bargain. It seems to me the only hatred on display here is coming from you. So much for your 'tolerance'.
I'm not sure who said I have tolerance for you or where I said it. I’m happy to indulge the fantasies of the confused elderly and the mentally ill but indulging those who are presumably compos mentis makes me dishonest, so I won't do that with you.
Pardon?
Dtc //Presently, World Athletics requires that transgender athletes and athletes with differences of sexual development have testosterone levels ≤5 nmol/L//

I don't believe that's right? The average for females is 2.8 and it has only recently been reduced to 5 or less. This is why Caster is banned from racing with women this year- excessive testosterone.
But for transgender athletes, it's 10 or less. And- only taking hormones into account.
Ironically, I'm fairly sure Caster would have been better off claiming to be a man claiming to be a woman. And could have entered.

^Lol,pixie. If only Caster knew.
Some of the pro lobby on here seem to be a bit confused.
Nobody on here, as far as I can see, is calling for the abolition of transgender people.
People can be what they want to be, do what they want to do as long as they're not hurting other (non consenting) people.
Believing they have an unfair advantage over women when it comes to sport doesn't make us bigots or transphobes.
Exaxtly right, spice. Open a separate category- in every area requires. Everyone wins. Nobody cares.
9:41 "hate crimes" are towards "protected characteristics". Women are one, transgender people aren't, only transsexuals. So, I wouldn't threaten naomi.
Pixie that's not true.

"Gender reassignment" is a protected characteristic. So is "Sexual orientation".
Yes, "sex change " and sexual orientation are. What does that have to do with transgender?
I seriously suggest you watch the video I provided for you. It's only a couple of minutes and may save you years of embarrassment.
Pixie374 asks what does gender reassignment have to do with transgender...

In the words of one of my favourites.. this is AB tarr dar!
Nooo...... I'm not talking about transexual people. As I'm sure you obviously well know... Lauren Hubbard has never (and it isn't required) had any ops whatsoever.
To apply.... you need to claim your are a woman (magic words, which change everything) and take enough hormones to pass. That doesn't change musculature, bone density, blood cells, etc... just hormones.
Why are you thinking the only physical difference between a male and female- after puberty!- is hormones... is more the question?
Even one year old boys and girls are clearly different body shapes.
"Years of embarrassment"... I've studied it for over 27 years, so far. But, thanks for the YouTube:-)))
Careful Pixie or you'll be borderline committing a hate crime yourself. But of course you're not to blame just because you're ignorant. That's why I provided the YouTube video for you for educational purposes. If we all learn about this it'd be easier for everyone. Especially Trans people.

You'll see ops aren't anything to do with it.

Please... Just watch the video for god sake and stop spouting your opinions on the topic.

I see you're quite involved in the "Why Do Many People State Their Opinions As If They Are Facts?" thread.
"thanks for the youtube"

No problem. I'm so glad you noticed the video. Maybe watch it now?

Note the video was made and published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
