// lots of people out of the Olympics // indeed. i guess the point of raising this is that Ms Hubbard's exit postpones an inevitable argument......

Spicerack - // .. just ask me politely, without the gratuitous insults ... //

If you think my post contains 'gratuitous insults', then I suggest you look up the meanings of both words, and their use in a sentence, because clearly you understand neither.

And that's not a 'gratuitous insult' either - just to help you out.
Then why did you deem to comment on Mamya referring to the person as "She"? Sounds more like "Call them what you like as long as I with you".

To whom are you addressing your post please?
Clearly Naomi. You haven't done any of the things listed Andy.
Spicerack: " If you don't know what I mean by something, just ask me politely, without the gratuitous insults, and I'll do my best to explain it to you. "

@ 16:30 Mon 02nd Aug 2021 --- "So what exactly did you mean by "Phew." in your OP, Spicerack ?"
Hubbard has won seven international tournament gold medals. Not exactly a failure. Age probably played a big part in this loss.
Naomi is intent on describing the athelete concerned as 'a bloke' - I am still awaiting a response to my query about how she is able to make such a confirmed judgement.

Unless of course Naomi wishes to make her judgement based entirely on appearences?

If so, I would direct her to any episode of 'Ru Paul's Dreag Race', which might put her percptions into a different ball park (!!!)

I'd already answered that, 7up, a half an hour before you asked the question.
To be frank, I thought you were trying to be a bit funny by asking a question I had already answered.
Spicerack: "Phew because as mushroom said ' Ms Hubbard's exit postpones an inevitable argument......' " @ 15:52 Mon 02nd Aug 2021

Apologies Spicer, I missed it.
AH, look up his history. I did and that’s how I know. I can’t post a link from my phone but he was born male and after competing in men’s events he ‘came out’ age 33. It doesn’t matter what he calls himself or what anyone else calls him - or which bits he has enhanced or lopped off - he is not a woman and never will be.

Thank you very much, 7up.
You've restored my faith in human nature.

I am sure the transgender community will feel their cause for reasonable treatment to be immesurably strenghened by people like you, who read something that chimes with their predjudices, and is happy to quote it as incontovertable truth, that their viewpoint is the only one that can be correct.

Transgenderism is a seriously complex and difficult concept, and no two cases are identical, and for you to simply take a news report and use it to shore up your offensive opionion that someone you have seen on television and in newspapers must be a 'bloke' merely adds to the ingnorant predjudice that is fueled by views and comments like yours.

You are not an expert in this area naomi - as you are not an epxert in any other, based on your posts on this site - sadly, you always like to pronounce as though you are.

Great - now you can turn your attention to my 'gratuitous insults' - or not, as the case may be.

TTT, AH is too busy pontificating about being offended on someone else’s behalf to trouble himself with common sense.

Or not.
Indeed. :o)

If you read my post properly - that will be a novelty for you - you will find that at no time have I evidenced 'offence' on behalf of anyone else - my offence is my and mine alone.

As for 'common sense', I fail to see how or why the notion of 'common sense' would either back up your spurious and unfounded argument, or dilute the obvious deep and unpleasant bigotry that fuels it.
