I'm not sure you can censor the debate along lines that you think appropriate - or not.

But my mention of Trump was not necessarily intended as a comparison, that's too simple even to bother with.

No, my point was, if you are going selectively to edit sound bytes to make someone look stupid, it's really easy to do, but it's not a viable way of assessing anyone's competence to do anything.

America seems to have a history of electing people who say a lot without actualy saying anything.

Off the top of my head - Nixon, Ford, Reagan, both Bushes, and Trump in spades could talk utter nonsense for hours.

Maybe they don;t notice, or they don;t care, I don;t know, it is a factor that runs through their politicians.

I was always mystified as to why Reagan was referred to as 'The Great Communicator' when he was calling the Princess Of Wales Princess David!!!

In the same way that Naomi can't dictate what will or not be posted on a thread, and what it will discuss, that applies to you as well.

I mentioned Trump in context - inofar as making politicians look stupid is easy to do with any onf them - but far easlier if the politician is stupid to begin with.

Other than that, I have not mentioned Trump - other posters have, but hey, we can post what we like and mention who we like.

If you don't like it, why don't you go off and start a thread - and leave this one to run its own way without your unqualified and unrequired direction.
