I don't "wish," anything zacs, which is why I'm asking... I prefer the truth. You seem a little obsessed with Floyd's behaviour. He is dead, and won't do any more.
The question is now whether you think Chauvin is best to continue?
I'm not denying that the world might be better off without Floyd. What I'm saying, the only relevant part now, is that the world might also be better off without Chauvin.
I don't see why nobody can dislike both.

'You seem a little obsessed with Floyd's behaviour' I'm not obsessed, Pix, I think his criminality has a bearing on ones opinion of Chauvin. As a police officer he may well have been aware of Floyd's criminal nature and this may have had a bearing on his actions, or at least the force used. I know that's wrong and I'm not condoning it but he was a human being with all the emotional baggage which goes with that and this may have had a bearing on the force he used. The Jury is still out on whether it was excessive force, I believe.

I won't dislike him until all the evidence is in, if that's OK?

I don't think that killing people in the street - accidentally or not - is a good or admirable thing to do, Zacs... I also don't think that people who do bad things necessarily deserve to die, as you suggest about Floyd at 13:36.

As you say, that would be wrong- and I'm sure a cop would know that. If his behaviour was at all related to knowledge of his past- that makes it even worse.
Does anyone know what all the complaints about Chauvin were about? More importantly.

I didn't say they did. That would be ridiculous also, but given the nature of Floyd's crimes and the fact that he would have gone on to commit more, his expunging is a societal positive.

I don't. Either he knew the score and it was deliberate. Or he didn't, and believed he was killing an innocent man.
Neither is any better, and I don't think all ABers are that daft.

No zacs, apparently he already had several complaints made about his behaviour previously. I would be interested to know what they were. And also interested what colour his previous victims were. So far, I haven't seen anything ro suggest racism, just general nastiness.

What a creepy thing to say... he "did the time" for many of those crimes (the home invasion for example) and according to wiki his friends say that he expressed remorse for them and was trying to turn his life around through religion....

not a model citizen I agree but he was still a human being.

What is the average number of complaints against a cop in the area where Chauvin works? As without that data the number is meaningless.
