That's great news for the Duke and his wife , our Queen
Good news he is on his way home. Hope his health continues to improve.
i bet it is. Glad to see him get home.
Good news. I was beginning to think he'd not come out this time, so glad he has.
I was getting worried that he wouldn't come out and, after seeing him in the car, I'm still worried.
I've just looked at the pictures, it took my breath away. He looks exactly like my darling Dad looked a few weeks before he died. Dad was 88 at the time. For all we know they may be sending him home to die.
For a man of nearly 100 years, a month in hospital, he looks really good .
I was just annoyed that the media could get so close to the car. The poor man needed respect and privacy. He looked so fragile.
It’s the media’s job to ‘ get pictures’ would you complain when they take a lovely one of the queen, looking just fabulous. Like it or not, it’s part of the royals job .
A month admission, probably more than a stent new or replacement, so if it was major surgery the I would expect a man his age to look pretty awful. See what his birthday pictures in June show. I think they might be a better guide.
Don't agree Anne. There are occasions when the media shouldn't intrude, and that was one. Total lack of respect.
rowan....major heart surgery at 100years old....naaaaah!
My bet? Pacemaker inserted.
I hope they leave him now , no more hospital admissions.
It would have been nice if the media had had the courtesy to put their cameras away. No sick person wants cameras shoved in their face. Reporting that he's left hospital would have been sufficient.
Apc, the media don't have to get too close to get a good pic, they have incredibly good telephoto lenses. I thought he looked ever one of his 99 years, but given his age and the fact he's just been released from hospital, that's hardly surprising. Not to be a fatalist, but he looks as if he's in the final stretch now.
Yes Mozz I agree he does. He's had a jolly good life though, lucky man.
Stop moaning about the media doing their job. This may well be the last photograph you will see of him .

Something for you to treasure then, anneasquith. Nice that you appreciate it.
Personally, I don't see why people would want to see him, poor man. I agree with you Naomi. Last time I came out of hospital, I looked like a bag lady, wrapped up in hospital gown, a dressing gown, wrapped in a blanket and looking dreadful. Good job I'm not Royal! There are times when media intrusion is just so wrong.
I'm hoping to go home in a few days, and the media had better stay AWAY !!!
