with all the loss of life tragedy, and schools jobs etc are you proud to british
thinking were te first to be vaccined and invention, harks back to, again
british inventions leading the world...
Yes I'm proud to be British.
Our national achievements have always been fantastic.
So many people berate us for our chequered history, without comparing us to other countries, and seeing how we fare.
For example Prof Kehinde Andrews, head of Black Studies, Birmingham University, considers racism in everything. Our flag, our colonial past, the structure and culture of our society.
But his freedom to be so critical was paid for in blood.
Short answer, yes.
// APG - well as the advertising slogans used to say "We never forget that you have a choice"//
Absolutely. I chose to return to the UK with my OH to take over his family farm. But I would have been better off in every respect had we stayed in Canada. Everything is miles better than the UK which has now become politically correct joke.
our inventions changed the world...fact let alone cures for diseases withing medicine and machines, you could say a land of chancers or very good scientists and engineers.
Anybody else now noticing that all the denigrators of the UK seem to either live elsewhere or wish that they did. We have no restrictions on leaving, and sadly none on filtering out the catcalls from them. Please leave before we make you as hopeless as we are.
Every single country of the world has people living there who are fond, even proud, of it and have no great desire to live anywhere else - they are content with the accident of birth. On many counts, nearly all of these countries are measurably not close to being the best, the UK included. Witnessing people beating their chests in full view of (pointing to ?) the failures is at very least embarrassing.
iv spoken to al ot of indians who said, india was better under british rule... europhiles, why are you still here, your not wanted or needed
you have made your case clear...leave.
