What is behind President Barack Obamas's state visit to London?

Will he be setting up some other foreign adventure with Cameron while he is here, or is it just a neighbourly visit to the queen?

Glad to see he is not frightened to mention the word England though.

Can't see that, but what it does say is "What the Queen symbolises, is the best of England".
I thought he said she is the best of England as well Anne.
It seems obvious that Obama has flattered Cameron either via the video link they possess or his past meeting. You and Sarcozy can wipe Gaddafi of the map, you don't need US help, show what stuff you are made of. And of course he fell for it hook. line and sinker.

It seems just as the Queen has paid a visit to Ireland, Obama is also visiting Ireland before he visits the Queen.

What's going off?
Probably planning a joint invasion of RoI to claim the cider mines.
