London & South East is going into tier 4.

Christmas can't go ahead as originally planned.

This won't affect us too much as we've no plans. What about you?

Thanks LCG. I struggle to be honest ;-)
i dont think can do zoom, will likely get various phone calls on CD wishing me a happy birthday, but its not the same.
i am sure you do zacs.
You're welcome, Zacs. He made a full recovery, BTW, from the GBS and the brain aneurysm.
A neighbour is absolutely distraught all the grandchildrens presents bought online had been delivered to her as the family were spending Christmas with her and that's the vast majority, with her family 400 miles away very little chance of getting presents to them
She also has a darn great turkey and overloaded with food
Another lash up from the incompetents in Westminster
I'm in tier 4 by about a mile...
Son 2 and his girlfriend were coming up on Christmas Eve and staying until Boxing Day (and bringing his 5 dogs with him), I've seen him once since last February.
I'm not fussed about Christmas but was looking forward to seeing them all. It means son 1 wont have someone his own age to socialise with.
It also means my 'Boxing' days sport, which was due to happen on the 30th and already paid for, is out the window.

Merry Christmas!
Good to hear, LCG. A brain aneurism as well! Jeez. Bizarrely even tho it’s a 1 in a 100,000 condition, a bloke in our old village had it as well and he was in the same rehab unit our daughter is in. Makes you wonder.
would anyone do any better, with the scientists some in agreement maybe not others.
I nursed a few GBS patients they seemed to recover so far, get stuck a bit usually when their optimism failed because it seemed to take forever then all of a sudden they were fit for discharge so look forward to a great 2021
Thanks Rowan! Yes, she’s in contact with a recoveree (if that’s a word) who said he woke up one morning almost fully recovered.

Wishing your daughter a very speedy recovery Zacs, and to anyone else who has health concerns x

My brother and his family were due to come round on Christmas day but not now. Luckily I'm living with my parents now and we've all had negative tests in the last two weeks.

Our only way out of this nightmare is the vaccine(s) and even that will take months if not years, to deliver.
whatever Boris and co do whatever decisions they have to make they are likely to please no one..
I don't do what ifs the current incompetent bunch are running the country
tigger indeed.
Thanks tigger. Sorry for sending your thread off at a tangent.
would labour bods have been any different, horrible decisions have to be made no matter who is running the show,
More what ifs
You boy.....what tier is this?!
the countries that got this right are the ones that acted quickly. UK not included, unfortunately.

No worries Zacs, I'm not fussed about things like that.
