I notice there's nothing about this as yet. I guess ABers only really care about negative stories about Harry and Meghan.

They've paid back their debt to the taxpayer. Good. It's the right thing to do, although it won't stop the whiners whining about them as I'm sure they're well aware. Now, which of the other royals will be next to cough up I wonder.

As it is taxpayers money that paid for that house I,as a taxpayer, will be waiting with bated breath for my 50p payback!!!!

Well, I think you'll have to talk to Mr Sunak about that.
Given that there are over 30 million taxpayers in the UK, what special rights do you have to claim 50p rebate - it should be about 8p that's due your way.
Good for them!
OK, then, I'll be the first one to mention it: I'm really surprised that "She who must be obeyed" allowed him to repay:)
I was glad to read this today and also that Prince Harry and Meghan are no longer receiving money from Prince Charles.
Hopefully it will cement the idea that they want to be independent.

And maybe, just maybe, they'll be allowed to do that.

But I doubt it.
Doubt there's a conspiracy of silence, mozz.
Either other people didn't read the story or didn't think it particularly interesting.
Obviously, every thread on AB is started by someone .
I bumped into this story when viewing an earlier unrelated link, haven't checked the main news outlets.
Isn't 31 million pounds to renovate one's house a little on the high side; how many quotes, or estimations, did they get?

$3.1 million Sanmac. About £2.5m in real money.

You're probably right Spicey, but there always seems to be someone around to post negative stories about them.
£2.4m
What I cannot understand is why Netflix are paying them so much and have also read that, because of conflict of interest with a rival company, Harry will no longer be involved with the Invictus Games fundraiser next summer
$3.1 apparently.
OK, only 3.1 million not 31 million. Now that's more reasonable.
Oops, I guess I got confused; the story mentioned dollars not pounds.

Not sure he gave up his interest in Invictus, possibly not advised properly that there would be conflict of interest between Netflix and the company involved with Invictus fundraise
Peter that is a despicable thing to say about AB Members,if you really think that of us then what the hell are you doing here.
