He did a lot of charity work, including long sponsored walks, so I am fine with him getting a gong for that.

No one should get an honour for just for being pro Brexit, or 17 million medals would need to be minted.

well he's more deserving that some of the shower of unpleasantness that inhabits the "upper" chamber. Personally I'd abolish the whole show and replace it with an elected upper house. In the mean time well done Lord Beefy!

Yes it sends out the wrong signals. No one should be made a Lord or Lady for charitable or other reasons. You should only be a Lord if inherit the Title ,then keep well away from Politics. The House of Lords is an outdated Establishment with no place in todays modern society.
