I think it’s more a question of being cautioned - or in this case red carded - for persistent fouling.

Ms Hopkins has always been a shrewd operator, not least because she has managed to fool a large portion of the population who genuinely don't know the difference, or any better, that simple negativity passes for intelligent observation, and being as rude as the libel laws permit can be offered under the pretence of being 'plain speaking'.

But as I said, that approach is betting against the odds, and eventually, enough people with the sense and power to actually do something about it, get tired of the endless baseless grind of unremitting trope dressed up as 'saying what everyone else us thinking...' and pulls the plug.

With the exception of those who have genuinely fallen on hard times, the majority of those who have lived on state hand outs for years and don't understand what contraception means plead poverty at every opportunity but have iPhone, 42" colour TVs and go to Benidorm every year. It's a truth that's all too unpalatable for some.

My single mother survived on £55 per week which fed and clothed the both of us, paid for all the bills in our council maisonette and paid for all extras such as school trips.

I NEVER missed a school trip and I NEVER missed a single meal in my entire childhood.

For everyone banging on about free speech, she has the right to say and write whatever she wants, but she has to find an outlet to say it on.

Twitter have policies against what they consider hate speech, she broke them, so like anybody else who does that, she was banned. I don't see a problem, and if it was a far left speaker doing the same, I'd say the same.

Are Twitters policies on 'hate speech clear and concise?

Katie Hopkins has said far worse in the past and has not been banned from Twitter. This seems to be a grovelling gesture to the BLM movement.

We are living in dangerous times and are witnessing the destruction of our hard-earned democracy.
