I don't think it's that at all. They know they'll never behave any differently, which is exactly why they're saying they'll never cooperate with them again. As I said before, they have nothing to lose by doing this, it was open season on them already.

It may have appeared so, but I believe there was a modicum of constraint based on previous tenuous agreements which are now null and void.

The tabloid media is a nasty capricious small-minded spiteful vengeful long-memoried nasty organism, and it does not like to be thwarted by its main prey - the royals.

If you think up to now has been 'open season' - just watch the media in the next few weeks and months.

I completely agree.

I think the gloves came off as soon as they 'abdicated' though. This announcement won't change anything. The only reason the pages haven't been filled with stories of what a cow Meghan is, is because there's too much other stuff going on at the moment.

Sadly, it looks likely that all the idiots that buy these publications will continue to believe it all and dutifully bleat along to whatever narrative they're fed.
