Just what is needed. Another hysterical teenager joining an hysterical debate. I suppose at least Ms Seibt does not seem to have missed any of her schooling.
Sigh
Hope normality is resumed as soon as possible.
Sure -- as long as you acknowledge the main points of the article, which are that Seibt may not have missed time in school, but she's certainly missed the point of those lessons.

As the article says, // Naomi [Seibt] argues that other factors, such as solar energy, play a role... A slew of peer-reviewed reports, from scientific bodies in the U.S. and elsewhere, have concluded that greenhouse gas emissions [due to human activity] are the dominant cause of warming since the mid-20th century.//

A dubious antidote, then -- pseudoscientific, politically-motivated, and deliberately designed to distort the facts.
This anti-GT stance has rather shot itself in the foot with this.
If there is nothing to deny, then why deny it?

Whatever your own opinion on climate activists, they are at least succeeding in making us think about this, if nothing else.

All it makes me think about is why experts and politicians have it in their heads that they can somehow control the Earth's climate. I find it increasingly tedious.
@14.37 A lack of interest or understanding of any subject can become tedious. I find many laws tedious, I have very little interest apart from some very basic ones, the others are to complex for me to understand anyhow. As for climate change its not that difficult to see what we are doing wrong, and what effects its having.
Greta Thnutcase. Climate Change is natural. Not man-made. The sun controls the climate on this planet. The Earth is still emerging from the last ice age and consequently, warming up.
^ Like many you choose to be in denial, whats your excuse for the depletion of the ozone layer, hence the hotter sun.
/// why experts and politicians have it in their heads that they can somehow control the Earth's climate. I find it increasingly tedious.///

They closed the hole in the Ozone layer by banning CFCs.

The point is we are using up oxygen faster than the planet can produce it, so it is inevitable this will affect the climate, no matter what the 4Ds say.
How can the grasp of reality be called denial?
Fact: the Earth is still emerging from the last ice age.
You are in denial if you can't see that.
Fact: the Sun is the only force that drives the climate on this planet.
You are in denial if you can't see that, either.
People are showing how vulnerable they are to propaganda.
Easy - a population cull.

Maybe that's what is about to start.

(Tongue in cheek, of course)
@15.43 you see it as propaganda because it may upset the lifestyle that you've got used to, in many cases a reckless one, that's harmed the planet.
@15.46 along with climate change, can bring new deceases so you could be right.
Reckless? :o) Love it! The facts are there, as I've said. There's no argument against the facts. People have fallen in love with Greta Thnutcase due to propaganda. Deluded.
What was that about being used ....
I think you've dreamed up some facts that content you.
Now that is denial, teacake! Love it!
Naomi Seibt is as entitled to voice her views as Greta Thunberg is - those listening can make up their own minds.

I see no reason why either of these teenagers should receive abuse and silly name doctoring from older people who should know to be more civil.
You tell em Mama! :o)
@16.14 Well, many along with Greta have been called hysterical teenagers by a well know and respected poster on here, and one poster pulled them to bits for damaging a little grass due to the demo in Bristol, a little grass seed will correct. What the posters are failing to see is the very long term damage the floods have done to farm land, and other businesses for many months to come. We will see how hysterical they get when the supermarket shelves are empty.
