Canary - Trying to minimise one situation by maximising another is not a valid tool of debate. One situation is not mitigated by another situation being seen as a worse one, that is absolutely not how the law works.

She was deliberately showing her breasts to make a feminist point. Her step children did not want to see them. It's not as if they walked in to her bedroom or the bathroom and surprised her whilst she was bathing or getting dressed.

Buchanan was charged with three counts of misdemeanor lewdness involving a child in February. It came after child welfare officials began an investigation involving the kids that wasn’t related to Buchanan.
The children’s mother reported the topless incident because she was “alarmed,” authorities said."

It is interesting to compare how extreme moral/religious/cultural/national obsessions bring about situations that are difficult for others to fathom, or simply to gape/laugh/agonise over in disbelief. One can put oneself in the place of people from the USA, the UK, China, Japan, Pakistan each looking at some curious event/behaviour in one of the other countries - how it is shaped has a local absurdity built into it, that is it is not absurd to those living in the place but absurd to everyone else.
Spice rack has a very good point. If a man did the same there would be a National outrage. Double standards here I think. And in your own home or not to do it in front of other people’s children is an absolute no no.

Clearly that is not a valid comparison.
Firstly, breasts are not genitalia, so accurate comparison would be a man walking around shirtless.
Secondly, although not uniformly seen as acceptable in the way that a topless man is acceptable in American, and indeed a lot of the civilised world accepts a shirtless man - a topless woman is seen as acceptable by large numbers of world cultures, whereas nowhere in the Western World is a man's genitalia on view seen as acceptable.
