It's a given that I don't trust the 737Max but the culture displayed here makes me wonder about any recent Boeing. I'd still get on the older ones, like the 747, they seem better put together.
AH this is another example of profit before safety that we were discussing yesterday.

some I would, but i ain't going anywhere, anytime soon...
Yes, of course. When you start to believe the unsubstantiated word of an un named employee you're on the periphery of paranoia.
not just one employee though is it..
"In one of the communications, an employee said the plane was "designed by clowns"."

That unnamed employee could have been anybody.

'not just one employee though is it..'

The basis of Tora's thread is based on one employee's comments.
In other emails and instant messages, employees spoke of their frustration with the company's culture, complaining about the drive to find the cheapest suppliers and "impossible schedules".
that was from the BBC link provided...
Most business try to find the cheapest supplies.
Yes I would still get on a boeing plane.
There's obviously an issue with the 737Max and I would be concerned if I found i was to fly on one. Extrapolating the comments of one, or more, employees to mean the whole company has a problem is paranoia. There are literally thousands of Boeing plans in the air as i write.
it is concerning that Boeing had redacted statements....
"designed by clowns"

You wouldn't want the bonnet flying up and the doors exploding off at 40,000 ft, that's for sure.
statistically i'm more likely to be killed on the journey to or from the airport ...
I presume I do get on them. It wouldn't occur to me to take notice of whatever plane I'm flying in.
That's a 'girl' thing ;-)

I excitedly announced that we'd be flying on a 747 in a few weeks to Mrs Zacs. Her reply was a shrug of the shoulders.
Yep. Sounds about right, zacs. ;o)
Sheesh. ;-)
Bet you like loud engines in cars too, Zacs. 'Cor, just listen to that!', he says as a Ferrari or some such monstrosity whizzes by. Hmmmm .... yes .... hmmmm....
It's another scenario I am familiar with.
Naomi, it's a Man Thing...
