Good, although my American fb friend doesn't think so, she can't stand him.
In football, it would be known as playing the man, not the ball.

2nd term for Trump. No doubt.
Except that you don’t impeach a ball, which is harmless without the man lol

Whether the trial if it goes ahead will make a lot of difference to the election next year is difficult to say. It would probably make more sense to wait: these are serious charges, the seriousness of which will probably be overlooked in the political to-ing and fro-ing. Most people have made up their minds about Trump: who the Democrats choose to oppose him will probably have a bigger influence.
What’s the difference between the President of the US and the President of Ukraine?
The President of Ukraine gave up being a comedian when he took office ...
Boom boom
It all seems rather a waste of time, when everyone has always known how it's going to pan out.
It doesn't say much for the American justice system when it's known in advance that one house will find him Guilty because they're opponents and the other house will find him innocent because they're cronies. It seems rather pointless bothering with evidence.
It seems a waste of time, except for the random element. Who knows what will get exposed during the trial process, but it's very unlikely to be anything good for Trump. Probably nothing at all, but maybe something damaging will surface ...
Democrat controlled congress impeached, and the Republican controlled senate will clear him, and in next November's election it is more than likely he will win as the middle part of America will come out in their droves.

This smacked of a personal vendetta by Pelosi which will backfire.
2/3rds majority needed. It'd have to be pretty blatant to get approximately 1/2 one's own party voting against their president. That system's set up to never trigger.

My thoughts exactly. A trial by jury, when you already know before it's started exactly how each jury member is going to vote, irrespective of whatever evidence is presented.

What a crock of s.

Yes the senate won't go against him - he will in all probability win a second term

However Trump doesn't take 'criticism' against his character lightly - as we all know .

What is going to hurt , is his pride - he will be deeply hurt by being put in the club of only three presidents to be impeached
I bet he wins a second term
Boris Johnson ?
Biden Joe ?
I've heard that Trump has asked folk to stop calling him orange. He insists, "ImPeach"
Nice one OG :-)

I reckon the Dems have not thought this through. Years of tantrums instead of concentrating on getting a middle of the road candidate that could beat Trump - it's madness.
