The Pound will never plummet in the model country the UK is, eh ? Google historical Pound-Dollar rates and have a close look at the rate changes between 1980 and 1984 - it went from $2.40 (having climbed from the earlier $1.60) to practically parity. How does one define "plummet" if that isn't it ? To anyone holding a "standard" view of currencies the Pound is at best a mediocre currency, emotional attachment notwithstanding.
Even at 1.18 Euros to the pound it is still the highest it has been for a couple of years. The lowest I can remember was around 2008. Wasn't that after years of a labour government then or have you forgot that.
gulliver: "The Day after the General Election £1 would buy 1.20 euros today it will buy you 1.18, " - the day before the election it was 1.17, it rose to 1.20 due to the market's relief that Jezza wasn't in, then fell back to 1.18, that's pretty good in a week.
You really seem lost without your pal diddly gulliver. Resorting to things like "Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear" when you haven't got an answer to things. When you talk about Prams and toys out of I think you need to look closer to home much closer.
I did a very generous currency exchange on Friday the 13th, The day after the General Election. Thats me set up for some time. All I have to do now is bask in the Sun and spend it. Whoo Hoo.
I just feel sorry for all your neighbours out there where ever that is who have to be out in the sun with you. If you are at all like you are on here you must be a real joy to be around.
You will have heard those words before as it seems the only person you listen to is yourself and maybe diddly who also seems to have given up on you. How sad.
