The boy needs to get from Frenchay Campus in Bristol to Churchill ambulance station for 5.30 in the morning, I have googled it but I’m getting nowhere. Can anyone help (he’s not usually so ineffective and pathetic but he obviously needs some help). Thank you.

Ps - not tomorrow morning, but soon :)
I’ll try again. Not sure I got the right Churchill. Start from here.

don't know if I got the start and end right, but either he's going to be an hour early or an hour late :-(

Getting a bus to anywhere before 0530 isn't easy, as most services don't even start until around 0600.

However the Traveline South West website suggests that he'd have to board the U3 bus at 0243 from Stop E on the campus to Cabot Circus in Bristol.

He's then got a 34 minute wait until Stagecoach South West's FALCON service leaves from stop S4.

That gets to Churchill Gate at Langford at 0412, leaving a 2-minute walk to the ambulance station (and an hour and a quarter wait until 0530 comes around).

That's sourced from here and assumes weekday travel. (I've not checked the weekend times):

The search facility recognises 'Frenchay Campus' as start point. Enter 'BS25 5NZ' as the end point.
Are there any family who could drive him there?

He’s away at uni and this is his first ambulance placement.
Can't he negotiate a later start when public transport is properly up and running? I wouldn't want a student son of mine to do that crazy bus journey.
Question Author
Don’t think the ambulance will wait for him - there must be a solution, he can’t be the first student in this situation.
In that case I'd give him the money to book a taxi.
could he cycle?

Think it’s sorted - he’s going to get an Airbnb and he can apply for an NHS bursary to cover additional accommodation and transport costs when he is on placement.
