A u-bend might be more apt.
NO, you don't join the FB to watch people die, or any other emergency service.
We appear to have a different Spath today.

May be but several are still waiting to hear what expertise Walter Mitty has in fighting fires.
Ummmm
I am guessing that Walter has been stereoscoped. :-(
Lol....but he used the correct word, apparently!

Ummm, that answer (in news) is off topic. May you have your juvenile digs somewhere more relevant?
Of course. Never known to be wrong. :-)
It's not my fault if people don't have the creative ability or intuition to understand my metaphor.
Ah. Spath’s back. Will you answer several ABers queries which are very much on topic but you avoid and dodge?
If they have anything to do with my personal experience on fire training then no.

There you go, one question answered.
No Spath. You are dodging again. What experience do you have and where did you learn the science of fire fighting?
The science of fire fighting? Woii probably primary school. Year 1 aged 5-7. Learning the fire pyramid. Learning why people shut doors and windows. Learning what a fire door is, but more importantly why it should stay closed. Learning what burns and why..

Then secondary school age unknown.. Learning what different fires there from wood, metal, liquid, gas and then electrical.

I then did a fire marshal course, learning all of the above, again, as well as in depth learning on electrical fires and metal fires, not to mention gas fires. I then learned the different classes of fire, the different types of extinguisher, and then the different times you would use which extinguishers. This was followed by a practical.

During the fire marshal course, I was instructed and taught how to evacuate a building and what to do and what not to do.

If I lived in Grenfell whilst it burned to the ground, I would have fought the fire until I felt it would be best to evacuate. I would have then evacuated. If I was on a high story floor, I would have evacuated immediately regardless of what a fire fighter said.
Spath changes his mind on everything, every couple of posts. The fault has to be with the designers- if - they knew it was a fire risk. I'm sure the emergency services did everything they could.
"Spath changes his mind on everything, every couple of posts. "

Well that makes a change from those telling me i'm so arrogant that I could never have my mind changed!

Which one is it AB? LOL! :D
Pixie I have every right to change my mind after being further informed, and then have another say from my new informed self.

That's why we should be allowed a 2nd referendum but that's a bit off topic.
Lol... twice in two posts. I do love you, spath xx you argue against yourself, far more often than anyone else... but even that doesn't stop you.
Hope that helps :-) x
Thank you Spath. At last. Well Googled. You think primary school teachings provide a credible insight of your knowledge to diss the knowledge and expertise of a professional Retired London fire officer with 30 years experince on this site ?
But i've not only had primary school teachings? It's more than that.

Believe me when I say.. I googled after I had wrote my answer and the only thing I double checked were the types of fire, and I forgot to include metal fires so I did so after I had typed my response.

I can tell you that you want to use powder on a metal fire, and not water or Co2 as it would do nothing. Foam would also just bubble off.
Hold on... I did fire training courses every year from the age of 20 to 40. Clearly, I am better qualified than the fire service lol.
