I see no mention of motive for the attack in the link TTT - are you in danger of jumping to conclusions here?
Dreadful, I wonder what happened to make a usually
unremarkable employee snap like that.

from the above link, the assailant is described as 45 and from Fort de France in Martinique, and had worked at the prefecture for 20 years. it's said he's partially deaf although the relevance of that is obscure.

you tell me AH, are you saying this is not TROP? I know it is traditional among TFOJ to avoid any idea that an atrocity could possibly be Islamic terrorism, indeed it has become the norm to omit certain details from news reports lest they reveal the obvious.
TTT - // you tell me AH, are you saying this is not TROP? //

I can't tell you, because I don't know. My point is, based on the link you provided, neither do you!

// I know it is traditional among TFOJ to avoid any idea that an atrocity could possibly be Islamic terrorism, indeed it has become the norm to omit certain details from news reports lest they reveal the obvious. //

I have no idea what 'TFOJ' means, but 'avoiding the idea that an atrocity could possibly be linked to Islamic terrorism' is not a rational response in this situation, any more than assuming that it is terrorism.

The simple fact is, your link does not back up your assumption.

Perhaps a cop criticized his typing skills. We all know you tread carefully in the civvy typing pool.
He means The Friends Of Jihad.
Do you, I have never worked in a typing pool.

I'm not playing the guessing game regarding how this happened or his religion.
The link provided says the attacker was 20, the French link that he was 45 with 20 years employment in the offices where the attack was carried out.

The Sky report goes on to lead by the nose.

"I can't tell you, because I don't know. My point is, based on the link you provided, neither do you! " - ... but I don't need Michael Fish to tell me when it's peacing down either.
Looks like the death toll is now 4.
Police Union man states it was a criminal act of madness and not terror.

TTT - // "I can't tell you, because I don't know. My point is, based on the link you provided, neither do you! " - ... but I don't need Michael Fish to tell me when it's peacing down either. //

That is a similarly nonsensical connection as the one you have made with your original assumption that this is a Jihadist atrocity.

At least your are consistent!
Exact same news source provided there. Sorry. I thought my yahoo was an update on the sky link. Apparently not.
//The link provided says the attacker was 20, the French link that he was 45 with 20 years employment in the offices where the attack was carried out. //

the BBC are saying "according to French media....." and repeats the data from Le Figaro....

It appears then, that thus far, there is no indication that is this a Jihadi, or indeed any other terrorist act.

Over to you TTT ...

if it's not fair enough, I always assume it is until it isn't because it usually is.
It has been reported that his wife (who was also arrested) is a Muslim convert, could it be there has been a little radicalization going on?
TTT - // if it's not fair enough, I always assume it is until it isn't because it usually is. //

That sounds like a mature adult sensible reasonable attitude to take.
AOG - // It has been reported that his wife (who was also arrested) is a Muslim convert, could it be there has been a little radicalization going on? //

There could … but there is absolutely no evidence for such an assumption, but don't let that stop you.
