I don't see a need to divide history by racial parameters, let's just have a history month.
No.
Don't even see a need for a history month. Nor day. Let those interested in the subject study it for themselves.
Start this and other interest groups will kick off too. Next thing you know we'll be subjected to, say, gay pride parades.
The problem with this sort of thing is that it does the opposite of what they are trying to achieve as it is very divisive.

In this day and age we should all be marching on together, regardless of race or gender.
No..PC gone mad
A need? Possibly not but there may be some interesting events and some knowledge gleaned for some of us.

It has been unofficially recognised in UK since 1987, unsure if it has caused any great problems in that time.
No. And neither do we need the likes of the National Black Police Association. In the USA there is even the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People - the last two words of which one cannot nowadays say or write separately.

They're really just white folk in a black skin, innit.
Also, I can see a time, and it's fast approaching, when we'll need more months in a year to accomodate all the special interest histories.
Let's get round the table now and agree a new set of months, shorter, snappier and ready for use in a modrin world full of roasters, wasters and troublemakers.

Your heritage needs YOU!
