//Is there a better word to sum up Boris than utter buffoonery?//

Yes, but it would appear here as ***
When do I get the chance to vote these judges out??
Anyone who sees the ruling as undemocratic has to realise that, had the courts ruled in any other way, they would be saying that it was OK to prorogue parliament for any situation which the PM didn't like. And there's nothing more undemocratic than that.
"the 15 million who voted not to leave"

their wishes are irrelevant..they voted they lost...the only ones who count are the 17million , you know the ones who voted leave the majority of those who voted, the people that won ..thats how democracy usually works
Never, but then if you did that would make judges political, which is exactly the principle people are -- correctly -- arguing against.
The wishes of the 16 million are hardly irrelevant. They are part of the country too, part of its future, and get an equal say in shaping it. Victory in the 2016 referendum of course sets an agenda and an endpoint to be aimed for, but it doesn't give the 17 million carte blanche to pursue that end without regard for the rest of the country -- or, for that matter, without regard for the rule of law.
//I agree with Mozz @ 12:17.//

Well that's settled, the whole bloody world is messed up beyond repair.
What we need is a benevolent dictator to sort this out.
Democracy to be prorogued until a) we are out of the EU and b) the BBC is scrapped.

Yeah, I misread your username before now. Sorry 'bout that.

Apologies from me too.

That is essentially what was happening, with Boris putting himself in the role of dictator (benevolent being a matter of opinion).
Lol mozz, indeed it is and we have nowhere to hide ;-)
I've said it before and I'll say it again, we are never going to leave the EU ! This is yet another set back for Boris - how can he hope to win when even the ruddy Courts are against him ?! Total waste of time having a referendum, everybody (even me who voted leave) thought the remain vote would win and all the remainers and remainer MP's are doing their darndest by fair means or foul to get their own way. It will be put back on 31 October of that I am sure, until it will just fade away and die. I just dare any politicians to come knocking on my door whenever we have an election, in fact I can't bloody wait !!!

Time to hide under the stairs and wait for sweet oblivion.

Having said that, is that Puppet Angel in your avi?
Yes it is mozz, A Vampire with a soul. from the episode 'Smile time'
:-)
Indeed. I'm a huge Buffy/Whedon fan. This really is a strange day.
Oooooo I've just heard the news! Another fine mess I see...

Well, having been instructed to get his *** back to England tout de suite I can hear him saying:-

"Don't worry,I'm coming. You can bet I will be on the first available flight back to Blighty, arranged by Thomas Cook"....

(Got to dash back out now, just popped me head in)

oh,me that is,not Boris.

Boris aside sorry Corbyloon Xx

Its the funniest episode of Angel ever.. if you have the means I'd watch it again.... even though a little dark for youngsters.
