He has left the cabinet.
Yep; Cites a conflict between family loyalty and national interest.
I'd like to see Rachel Johnson stand as an MP ,she's very articulate, keep the dynasty going, I think Stanley's a bit too old ( but I do like the old fellow )
It's all going swimmingly...
Yes.
He fell on his sword rather than plunge it into his brother's back. The honorable thing to do. Jo Johnson can walk away with his head held high.
That'll have a huge impact on the Tories' majority...
Given that what Boris was trying to achieve was in the national interest, maybe Jo should have thought about it some more.
They all seem to be swelling the ranks of the limp dums rather than Change UK. Says a lot about Soubry and her teeny tiny gang.

With so many defections and resignations I do think there should be a GE. No one has a majority now and if Corbyn or anyone else thinks they should take over they needs to do it legitimately.

Of course Corbyn, who has been wetting himself in anticipation of a GE suddenly doesn’t want on because he knows he would be slaughtered.

Ooft, if your own family don’t trust you .?
I suppose you can say that Jo Johnson has resigned in order to spend less time with his family.

I don't believe for a second that Jo Johnson will have done this without considering it fully. The symbolism is far too huge.
Tory majority now minus 45 (somewhere below Rees-Mogg’s right heel)
What with Luciana Berger becoming the 16th Lib Dem MP the Tories might not even be the largest party by the time an election is called :-)
Rachel Johnson, like Jo, is very anti Brexit, so yes I’d certainly like to see her setting a few things straight ;-)
Ich So was Boris but I rather have the remoaners having someone articulate like Rachel than the complete disarray we find ourselves in now
But then again Corbyn wanted to LEAVE the EU , did he not?
I used to have some contact with him long ago, he always seemed be the sane and trustworthy one. My OH had some contact with Rachel - never again.
Yes v irritating Rachel.
Jo was touted as a future PM by his brother I believe:
Prophetic words (?!)
