The Guardia di Finanza (GdF) (Italian pronunciation: [ˈɡwardja di fiˈnantsa]; is an Italian law enforcement agency under the authority of the Minister of Economy and Finance. It is a militarized police force, forming a part of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, not the Ministry of Defence.
^you've spoiled the point Gromit was trying to make!
Gromit, as you say they are not naval vessels. The Guardia di Finanza deals with crimes of a financial nature and smuggling.
600 border patrol vessels - no wonder Italy is bankrupt! About time all those immigrants set work to boost the economy.
Must be plenty of work in the shipyards.
Shame they have such an aversion to work.

These crafts are not ships, they are small, and not built in vast shipyards.
But any excuse to call foreigners lazy cannot be missed.

// Quick, someone mention Gruinard Island//

of which there are two

for the average ABer - Gruinyard Is was infected with anthrax in 1940 which disastrous results - everything died ( except the grass)

ALtho I have written about his before - I cant find the ref
To test whether it had gone away
the min def used to drive a flock of sheep onto the island and come back a week later - they were always dead

the herders were so afraid of the infection the sheep were never driven - within sight of the island the herders would just chuck them over the side of the boat

apparently if a sheep is in water and it sees land it instinctively swims towards it

any wya in the seventies they took all the top soil off and dumped it in the atlantic

so Gruinard ...... is open for business

[well it makes a change to choot or gas them]

/// AOG - Don't you get bored with the same hobby horses day after day, week after week, year after year? ///

It is news of national concern and as such I have every right to address the subject here on AB, just as you have every right to post your threads regarding scanty dressed females in the DM and as others do to post their numerous daily threads on the subject Brexit.

Incidentally the ED has warned us, don't keep trying to turn threads into slanging matches.

Gromit Italy might have a smaller coast line than us, but every mile of it is vulnerable to migrant landings, whereas the UK has only need to patrol it's South coast, there is no threat of migrants landing on our North, East or West coast lines.

I did not dispute your right to post about it, I questioned whether or not you get bored of ploughing the same narrow furrow relentlessly day in week in month in year in …
Don't answer him, aog. You know how it will end.

Please don't show your concern, I do not get bored in the least, in fact if it wasn't for me entering threads on subjects such as these, the news section would be a most boring place.

I also get much enjoyment from knowing that the likes of you continue to splutter out your daily portion of Muesli.
I don't et Muesli.

Yes I know Spicerack, it is his way of censoring, uncomfortable threads.
I was one of those who voted out mainly on the premise that immigration would be curtailed, we are not the first safe country for those who take to the sea on a flimsy dinghy and that's what asylum means, however I do think we should take a share of those in war torn Syria ,their plight is terrible but Albanians et al ???
"Storm"? "Army"? Wow, how many? Hundreds? Thousands? What, 66? Oh, and don't forget the baby (though i don't think it had a choice in the matter). Hardly an 'army' 'storming' the beaches of Kent, is it. Wonder what drugs our newspaper headline writers are on?
A-H
Don't you think it wrong of you to control what people want to post?
AOG has quite a following, I for one find his threads interesting and articulate
ANOTHEOLDGIT, self-praise is no praise at all.
