AOG....( iPad) sorry
He doesn't 'out' grooming gangs, he jumps on the bandwagon!
He outed two men.
'bandwagon' ...a fashionable movement, a trend enjoying current success' - are you sure you've got that right?
Prof. The prosecution of the 'groomers' was a current success was it not
Not remotely. It's a mere drop in the ocean - an utter disgrace!
Oh dear poor Mr Tommy 'They won't arrest Muslims and throw them in jail because they are afraid to and I need to out them with my valuable journalism but oh wait I can't be sent to prison because it's full of Muslims and my life will be in danger' Robinson you mean? My heart utterly bleeds.
Prof, I am not saying that it was anything momentous, but it was not a failure so it was a successful prosecution.
I’m happy that he keeps this appalling on-going problem in the public eye. I can’t understand why others would rather he didn’t.
You should be in a position to tell us how successful the current prosecutions in your part of the world turn out to be.
But in the meantime, would you like to give us some idea of the numbers involved there?
Naomi,//I’m happy that he keeps this appalling on-going problem in the public eye.//
No problem with that, but putting a trial in jeopardy is not on.
The Government must be seen to have it’s pound of flesh.
danny, come off it. This isn't just about his trial. This is yet another hate fest.
Prof. Can't give you all the figures, but here is one example:-
s://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/oct/19/yorkshire-grooming-gang-jailed-rape-abuse
... and by the way, 'a trend' is the important part of that definition - 'tokenism' would better define what you're talking about.
Prof, so be it, I am not going to argue with you about semantics.
Tommy Robinson is not an investigative journalist.
At best he is a social commentator using the medium of any social platform from which he is not currently banned.
He has not uncovered any gangs of predatory sexual groomers and abusers; he has not ferreted out the the identity of, or facilitated the arrests of, any rapists nor personally assisted in the saving or recovery any of the innocent victims.

He has stood in front of the Court Building where a prosecution is already taking place of abusers, groomers and rapists and inserted himself into those proceedings. And for what end?

In which way did his 'broadcast' help the cause of Justice? It very nearly caused the trial to collapse.

People need to stop letting their admiration of Tommy Robinson, in the wider world, stop colouring their view of his stunt outside Leeds Crown Court.
If the media did its job properly (and especially Broadcast Media) Tommy Robinson would have no role to play.

Unfortunately, the judiciary wants to keep these cases out of the public eye. And that suits TV News, which has ignored the subject as much as it decently can (although we'll usually get a brief summary in regional injects).

The media and the judiciary are fortunate, because middle-class professionals (who, collectively, bear the responsibility for the cover-up) don't enjoy being reminded of their failings.
That said, they can't get enough of Tommy Robinson - it's a tricky balance!
spath----We've already had the P*** bashing days in the 60s/70s. That didn't stop them.
