Personally, I would like to see some fresh 'talent?' across the presenting spectrum. Rylan Clark-Neal has been a breath of fresh air. And new presenters would save the BBC a fortune!!

In answer to the OP - an unequivocal 'No'! I've never seen all but one of them on TV - or heard them on radio. Having done a bit of research I'm baffled about what Claudia W actually does, never mind the others. Gary Lineker - I simply can't stand him, using his fame to make political points ( I've not bought Walkers crisps for years because of him). Unacceptable...

You enjoyed Trevor Macdonald reading the news but are few up with so many black and Asian faces? Rightho then Theland...
No not me. Just fed up having PC shoved down my throat.
Anyone who complains because they see non-white faces on their TV screens *is* (despite their protestations) racist.

Surely with your multitudinous woes this is one issue you can afford to become less bothered about?
In the interests of the debunked multiculturalism, inclusiveness and diversity, quotas appear to trump merit.
Even the BBC have admitted aiming for a percentage of BAMEs to equal the general population.
That is unfair on prospective white employees.
This illustrates a further problem. So many reasonable people are silenced for fear of being called racist. A nasty label difficult to deal with, but injustice should always be called out regardless of the consequences.
Yup....
You're doing nothing to change my assessment of you....
I sincerely hope that Orla Guerin, foreign correspondent to the BBC, is extremely well paid. She covers news from the most appalling situations in the most appalling areas of the world. People like her really do earn their money.

Theland, Your post of 18.26 - I completely agree with you. I am in no way racist. Merit should be the only consideration.

Completely agree Naomi. Her sombre style of delivery typifies the situations she faces.

Lyse Doucet is another correspondent who is a credit to her profession.
Theland; "Black and Asian faces taking over the dramas, Holby and Casualty for example." When was the last time you visited a hospital, then Theland? A high percentage of our Docs and Nurses are black/Asian. Are you saying that our dramas should not reflect this?
Orla Guerin – £160,000-£164,999
Nowhere near enough, Mamyalynne.
I agree.
Thirded, that's embarrassingly low for the standard of work she produces.
Orla Guerin spends a lot of her working life avoiding being shot.

Whereas Gary Lineker ........... (insert opinion here)
^Haha! Very good.
Theland - I recently had a two week stay in hospital and it was a pretty even mix of whites and non whites, all as good as each other.

You are being racist!

Cut everyone by, say 50%, they'd still be well off.
^^^ I agree about Orla -- she is risking her life.
where did you do your research J? She has her own radio show and does strictly come dancing
