Why don't you go? The environment needs us all to preserve it for our children and grandchildren.

i'm not an activist but if I was UK is the last place I'd pick on.
Strange how the brave warriors for most popular causes usually choose to do it in relative comfort.
you're such a grumpy old man.

how dare people protest about the environment in my country

lol
Spath, why do you think that they are protesting against the only country that has a target for zero carbon emissions by 2050? They should go protest in the USA which has opted out of reducing carbon emissions.
because they are kids in the UK want em to go on a field trip to china and start marching the streets?
I just don't see why people are so salty about people trying to get others aware of the climate issues we're currently facing. It literally doesn't affect you, but you go out of your way to publicise your disapproval of these protests
Do you own an oil company TTT?
Spath, you didn't answer the first part of my post. Our government is fully aware what is to be done about climate change, and is doing more than any other country.
It does affect people, spath, and these protestors are not all kids. They caused chaos for days in London just recently.

I just don't see the point in crying about people trying to do good for our planet, regardless if our country is doing better than others, it could still be better.

Making a noise in london, that sound travels.

Many people can't go on holiday just to protest, and surely the act of doing that wouldn't be environmentally friendly?

Again.... People do what they can, where they can do it.

Cry all you like but it makes you come across as pompous
"Where There Is A Problem?"

It's a global issue. If china topple, so will we. The problem is in the air. It's everywhere.
Spath, resorting to name calling will not strengthen your argument.I 'll leave this to you now.
Awareness isn't an issue. We are all aware, but we don't go crowing about it, and we realise it takes time to turn things around so no point in being a nuisance.
That's a typical sit back and watch the world burn mentality in my opinion.

And danny, it wouldn't come across that way if TTT didn't keep raising his disapproval to those protesting climate change. It's an odd grudge, very odd.
not sure if they could go to china/india/america and protest without
being deported or incarcerated, but disrupting business and people going to work in the uk is out of order, perhaps they are all rich protestors and can afford to go around the uk and mmm protest.
or they are on benefts of one sort or another, and do not have to sign
on that partucular day, reminds of the vegans invading restaurants and butchers...the latter are zealots and in my opinion have mental disorders.
// perhaps they are all rich protestors //

Or perhaps they rely on the rest of us to keep them whilst they spend their time on disrupting our lives ....
Don't usually agree with spath, but do this time. The only thing I would say is that they are probably wasting their time, as it's probably too late now, but we have to try to save the precious planet, don't we .. Politicians do beggar all, except make useless speeches !
hereiam //Politicians do beggar all, except make useless speeches !//
The government has set a target of zero carbon emissions by 2050. which is more than any other country has done. These demos are totally unnecessary.
naomi24, i could find them some work cleaning up verges canals
walkways parks, plant some trees etc..after all every little helps.
but there probably not used to actual work physical labour, getting up
early and not half past this afternoon, and going on a jolly good protest...
2050 is too late.
