How do you know what was in the minds of the protesters.? You seem to think that the MP should have waited until someone was hurt.

I don't.

// You seem to think that the MP should have waited until someone was hurt. //

There didn't seem to be any risk of that happening. It looked to me like a bunch of noisy women shouting about climate change with no violent intent.

There's potential danger everywhere at all times. You have to assess it and act accordingly. That's what the MP did, which was fair enough and I'm not shouting for him to be sacked or prosecuted. All I'm saying is that I saw it differently, along with apparently every other person in that room at the time.

it was a meeting in a private venue, they had no right to force themselves in, how would you react if a group of very angry women forced themselves into your home, would you had mildly asked them to leave your premises?
where was the security, one of them could have had a bomb and taken out all the guests, there was a minister there, prime target
im thinking of the manchester concert bombing, how easy they got in
and how many wouod be bombers will now take a cue how easy
it was to get in there.
The M p in question has been suspended as a minister. Via bbc .

It's not really a comparable scenario though is it? A home invasion compared to being one of many guests at a large organised event with staff on hand.
He'll probably be reprimanded for overreaction and excessive manhandling of the woman and then reinstated with no further case to answer or action taken.

That'd be about right in my opinion.
She could have easily had a bomb on her. Security must be improved.

Regarding the manhandling, fair play. Could have been a potential terrorist. Who knows.
"The M p in question has been suspended as a minister. Via bbc ."

Bit OTT... but i guess people in prestigious positions shouldn't grab people by the back of the scruff like they're some mutt in the street.
Disgraceful. He should be promoted, not suspended.
Promoted? Get out of here. What he did has no reflection on his political ambitions or qualities. Deluded.
Ah yes, promote that politician, he must be good, look at him grab that woman by the neck! He has every quality we need.
Spath, watch the video hi did not grab the woman by the neck, he grabbed her left arm.
^right arm^
they seemed to be dressed to resemble suffragettes, but a rather pathetic copy
the Tory government should resign over this they want out of Europe ,get the protesters out of the room it’s all out with them .so they should do the honourable thing and call an election before Boris or hunt get to be leader .
He'll get a good job when Boris gets in. Cabinet, I shouldn't wonder.

Where else would it had been safe to grab a female, if he didn't want to be charge with sexual assault?
Danny, if you watch the vid, he initially grabs her arm, pushing her into the wall, preventing her from moving (OK whatever..)

As he gets up, he grabs the back of her neck as if to guide her with a grip, like you would do a dog at the vets.

Arm grabbing, yes fine. The neck? Bang out of order front or back of the neck.

I don't disprove what he.

I disprove of the position he felt he could take, grabbing her by the neck.

This day and age though, for all he knew it was a terrorist attack.
