/// AOG, Not the cause you were hoping for? ///

Why has it have now been proven certain without doubt that it caused by an Electric short circuit? If it has I must have missed that bit of breaking news.

Stop digging deeper Danny, and come back when the official inquiry has come to their final decision.
Suggest that you do the same.
"ISIS have already attached themselves to the Notre Dame fire, so it is quite in order to point the finger at them."

From your link, "There is no indication that the fire was linked to terror but ISIS fanatics have revelled in the damage to the 850-year-old landmark, a symbol of Western civilisation, just days before Easter."

If there were even the HINT of arson, do you not think the likes of ISIS would have claimed responsibility?

I think the authorities were so quick to point out that it was accidental and not arson
is that the vast majorities of fires
and fires in churches is accidental and due to lack of maintenance

call me an old fuddy duddy but that seems the most logical
sorry

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

jesus danny that will be a few years
ou quelques annees since we are in forrin parts - ( sorry Ni!)
ISIS revelling in the Notre Dame fire is like me revelling in poachers being eaten by lions. i.e. take great pleasure in it while having absolutely nothing to do with it.

And, if they did have anything to do with it, you can be sure they'd have said so - in fact I'm surprised they didn't claim responsibility anyway ...

I have never said that ISIS started the blaze, it could have been started in a number of ways, even by arson.

Read my headline:

/// Why Were The French Authorities So Quick To Rule Out Arson? ///
god i wish people would imitate what I do
and then I could understand what they were saying
be sure that it was worth saying and
not have to wade froo the sea of one liners like
dat gobbledook dat!
wot dat den
and many many more side splitting put downs ....

just a little easter wish - carry on AB crew !
"I have never said that ISIS started the blaze,"
really?
"it is quite in order to point the finger at [ISIS.]"

Ellipsis

It needed been started by or on behalf of ISIS, it could have been started by a loner or small group of nutters, with a certain axe to grind.

And just to put the Muslim defenders mind's at ease they could be of any persuasion.

That does not say that I said that ISIS started the blaze, but what I did say,
"it is quite in order to point the finger at ISIS."

Which it is, for their published remarks over this tragedy.
ANOTHEOLDGIT, your accusation of ISIS' involvement is based soley upon the warning of a FUTURE attack.
Corby, AOG has never let his bigotry get in the way of the facts.

Can't you get it into your head?

I never accused ISIS of being involved, I simply (and rightly so) pointed the finger at them for their insensitive remarks regarding the Notre Dame fire and their warning of a future attack.

Sorry if I have upset you for poking my finger at 'your mates', but I think it was warranted, so I won't be apologising to you or to ISIS.
I have reported that last post of yours, ANOTHEOLDGIT

Or he could just be better informed than you are.

Now would be a good time for you and Danny to apologise to AOG.
The car had been left on the other side of the Seine and there was no detonating device.

I had read a report a few days ago (which I can't find now) that suggested the car had broken down on the way to another target.

Folk connected with that incident have been found guilty of other planned attacks but the Notre-Dame case is yet to be heard.
am I the only person to see that a car broken down which may have been a bomb - or not ( hey a broken car is NOT a good adver for bombers innit?) has nothing to do with arson

has arson been (seriously) used as ainstrument of terrorism ?
or is this just the weekly case of AOG intimating that there may be brown men under his bed (in dear old blighty that is!) and he might die that VERY night!
