'On April 15, 2019, a huge fire destroyed much of the beautiful medieval Catholic cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. Millions of people watched, in shock, live video feeds of the tragic destruction.

But what about the hundreds of other European churches that are vandalized and set ablaze each year? As Gatestone's Raymond Ibrahim reported in an article just one day before the Notre Dame blaze:

"Countless churches throughout Western Europe are being vandalized, defecated on, and torched. In France, two churches are desecrated every day on average... In virtually every instance of church attacks, authorities and media obfuscate the identity of the vandals. In those rare instances when the Muslim (or "migrant") identity of the destroyers is leaked, the perpetrators are then presented as suffering from mental health issues." '

I doubt that billions of people have visited those churches, and I doubt there have been films made about them

The Gatestone Institute is a right-wing anti-Muslim think tank with a focus on Islam and the Middle East//
Nuff said.

Crikey!!!!!!! Does that really matter those churches have still been attacked, vandalised defecated on, and torched.
There are a lot of posts on AB at the moment that feel they have to try and compete with the Notre Dame tragedy.

Please try and use a little sense of perspective, especially about the cathedral and its symbolism to the nation and to Paris itself.

Ah the Islamic apologist and Right-Wing haters, are at it again, they hate any source that make any uncomfortable news (for them) being published.
it's like comparing apples to pears. people can be shocked (Stunned, upset, sad, whatever) about notre dame (which they will have heard of or been to) without caring or knowing about a tiny church in the middle of a foreign country that has been broken into
You mean an Islamic apologist as opposed to your being an anti Muslim Right -Winger.
Well it would seem that there are some who couldn't give a "rat's ass".

/// The Vice-President of the French student union at the University of Lille reacted to the Notre Dame fire by tweeting, “I swear to Allah we don’t give a rat’s ass.” ///

/// “How much are people going to cry for some bits of wood? I swear to Allah you like French identity too much while we don’t give a rat’s ass objectively it’s your madness of little white people,” tweeted Hafsa Askar. ///

as far as I can see, the author is saying it's very rare that migrants or muslims are known to be the perpetrators
so are you upset that people care or that people don't care? Im confused!

Well it would seem that Left-Wingers can be Anti-Jewish, Anti-Royalty, Anti-Christian, Etc, etc, if they choose to be, so why can't Right-Wingers be Anti-Muslim if they choose to be?
AOG,// why can't Right-Wingers be Anti-Muslim if they choose to be?/
They can as indicate by your many near-racist anti Muslim posts.

Read what it actually says.

"In those rare instances when the Muslim (or "migrant") identity of the destroyers is leaked"
Khandro, see what happens when you post a question using a source with a politically extreme bias.
Danny, //The Gatestone Institute is a right-wing anti-Muslim think tank with a focus on Islam and the Middle East//
Nuff said.//

No, not enough said. This is also being reported for many other news outlets, including the Times.

I am forever being named called and criticised, as others are, that is why the likes of you, think it is not okay.

Regarding your carefully worded but incorrect remark:

/// near-racist anti Muslim posts. ///

May I inform you that Muslims are not a race.

Naomi, I doubt that those other papers are publishing the content of
Rosenwald's last paragraph.
Sadly, you're probably right danny. Exactly what the fellow is saying.
AOG //Islamophobia is a specific form of racism that refers to acts of violence and discrimination, as well as racist speech, fuelled by historical abuses and negative stereotyping and leading to exclusion and dehumanisation of Muslims//
dannyk13

/// I doubt that those other papers are publishing the content of
Rosenwald's last paragraph. ///

Perhaps it is because it rare for Muslim (or "migrant") identities to be leaked?
