Aog, Lowering or raising the standards of countries they’re heading for isn’t their purpose.

pp. //( as Nigh says - just skim and reject - or reject anyway)//

‘Nigh’ doesn’t say that and never did. You really ought to see a specialist about your obsession.

/// burn them shoot them drown them
we dont want this sort of stuff on our shores ! ///

Before you type lies about me for all the world to see, please publish the proof where I have stated that I want them shot & drowned etc.
Zacs //Wouldn’t that [lower(ing) the standards of the countries that they are heading for] be rather defeating the purpose of their endeavours?//

Yes and it is working, perhaps you should get out and look around. Many former working class areas of a large amount of European cities are now unrecognizable.

/// Aog, Lowering or raising the standards of countries they’re heading for isn’t their purpose. ///

It may not be, but that is the end result for the countries they are planning to settle in.

But aside from that, in your opinion, what is their purpose for wanting to head for Europe?
Aog, //that is the end result for the countries they are planning to settle in.//

I presume you mean lower standards rather than higher. If so, I agree with you.

//what is their purpose for wanting to head for Europe?//

For a better life I presume.

/// I presume you mean lower standards rather than higher. If so, I agree with you. ///

Isn't that what I put when I typed:

They are not immigrants but economic migrants, that wish to "LOWER" the standards of the countries that they are heading for.

It was you who introduced the word 'raising' when you put:

///Aog, Lowering or raising the standards of countries they’re heading for isn’t their purpose///

I think most would wish that, but it can't be allowed to happen.

You can't allow working class people to take over the residences of the aristocracy, that would be classed as a revolution and rightly so.
Which residences of the aristocracy have been, or have been threatened to be, taken over by working class people since the Scarlet Pimpernell was around?

I never said that any had, it was just an example of people seeking a better life.

Please try and keep up.
So you’ve leapt from them being rescued, penny-less and destitute in boats, to being able to afford Blenheim Palace?

You do write the most utter cobblers at times.
AOG - as I don't know what they are fleeing from or what their intentions are I find it hard to comment.

My family are economic migrants but we're Irish and that is acceptable!
Just how desperate are these families to leave their homes to endure such treatment ?

/// You do write the most utter cobblers at times. ///

That's a laugh, coming from the Master of rubbish.
I can't even look at that and try to be civil to people who uphold that it's okay to teargas children.
Like Ummm, my father was an economic migrant, I live between two countries built on immigration, and there is no need for this.
Question Author
It is said these migrants mainly come from Afghan, Iran or Pakistan.

How come those from Pakistan don't take the same route to the Western world as our Pakistanis have?
Do you live in an aristocratic residence, Calico?
‘It is said these migrants mainly come from Afghan, Iran or Pakistan’

Is that just supposition or do you have some facts to back that up, AOG?
Oh...look...AOG being rude!

/// I can't even look at that and try to be civil to people who uphold that it's okay to teargas children ///

The police are only doing their job, the parents of these innocent children are to blame for exposing them to such a violent scene.

But then perhaps, that is the migrants plan, push our children to the front, then the authorities won't take any action against us in case they harm the children?

Horrible people, keep them out, we don't want their kind in Europe.
"But then perhaps, that is the migrants plan, push our children to the front, then the authorities won't take any action against us in case they harm the children?"

The immigrants plan to use OUR children? You're making it up as you go along?
