You seem to have confused the 'real world' with Utopia, spath.

*All* laws, everywhere, developed from some sort of religious basis. In the West we are (in the main) fortunate enough to be jettisoning those based on religious teachings in favour of those based on a more humane and humanist rationale.

Thos countries embracing Islam, already have their laws written for them......they are to be found in the Koran and are implemented as Sharia Law; there can be no deviation.
Although, some Islamic countries choose not to implement them as robustly as others.

No-one is lying, spath.
There are Muslim communities who will take 'some' of their legal issues to the Imams/elders to have them rule on the matter using 'Sharia Law'. In these communities, the Sharia ruling will be followed rather than any that might have been given in a 'British' court.

Similarly, Jewish matters can be and are settled in Beth Din Courts.

What I would like to ask is, do our Islamic followers instantly change their ways as soon as they become British citizens or are those who don't automatically referred to as 'Radical Muslims'?

The point of this OP is what goes on in the Sultanate of Brunei which according to their laws is acceptable and nothing we debate here will stop that evil law over there or any other Muslim country.

Brunei reconises the most extreme form of Islam. This says that Homesexuality is one of ''The crimes that can never be forgiven '' the only penalty of such a crime is death ! Further more the death penalty has to be by 'Stoning to Death in Public' at Noon on a Friday !

JTH, elders of a religion recognising sharia law and having private trials is not the same as the UK acknowledging and following these laws and applying them in court cases. They are not laws that apply to the every day British public at all. That's my point. I've no doubt sharia law is honoured by some in the UK under the carpet.
