He's right about one thing though, Cob can't win without abandoning traditional labour policies, and he'd know!

After the whole Brexit fiasco,trust in any of our MP's is such that nobody can have any confidence in what is being offered to the electorate.

Neither of the main parties have stuck to their manifestos so why should we believe anything anymore?

What a shocking state of affairs it is when we're faced with the possibility that we may have to choose between Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn to be Prime Minister.
Tory leadership contests are like grand nationals. The favourite almost never wins.
The problem Johnson has is large numbers of Tory MPs loathe him and his “treachery” at voting for the deal last week makes him yet another “enemy of the people” in some eyes now.

..and the fact that he bottled out of the job when Cameron went because he didn't want to sort of the mess he could see was coming, that he'd been instrumental in creating.
He did stand for the leadership did he not? Luckily Michael Gove sabotaged him before sabotaging himself :-)

I might be wrong, but I don't think he did. I though he didn't get the support of Gove so he didn't stand. Something I saw as an excuse at the time, probably cooked up by the pair of them.
