No, should we also ban scarves just because some robbers use them to disguise their faces,
dannyk13

I think that a shop keeper would take notice of someone walking into his store with a scarf around his face, thus giving him time to raise the alarm, but he is forced to accept without question someone in a burka.
AOG,it was an analogy.
dannyk13

And I was merely explaining why your analogy doesn't work.
They wore the burkas to hide their identities from the cctv after they had killed Mr Jogiya.

danny's analogy is sound.
You have your opinion, I have mine.I am not going to argue with you.

danny; There is no analogy to a burka, even a motor cycle helmet nowhere near applies, not only were their faces and bodies covered, they could carry weapons under them - and they hoped walk away disguising their loot under them.
If criminals use a specific garment as a disguise, that really does not justify the banning of the garment - that simply allows religious intolerance by the back door.
Khandro, the analogy was between two item that could be used as a form of disguise.
Yet of all the disguises used by criminals only the burka wouldn't arouse initial suspicion.
Dam savages!
Shouldn't this thread be about the 'Dam savages!'

Countering my own view, which is of course,'Ban'. I remember seeing many years ago a very good short film in which around Christmas time in N.Y. a man walks into a bank in the full Santa Claus outfit, white beard and everything, robs the bank at gunpoint, and walks away carrying the dosh in his sack! He then had only to take a few seconds
to slip out of his disguise and nobody behind in the bank could identify him.
Perfect crime, but it wouldn't work in July!

Interesting, that you point out the ludicrousness of your own argument - but I always appreciate anyone who can acknowledge that they are in the wrong.
Definitely ban the burkha! There have been cases of shop-lifting, bank robbing, Isis fighters pretending to be women in burkhas. Goodness knows what else. These 3 scumbags have been sentenced to a life where they will be fed ,clothed, and possibly given a phone to use in their cells so that they can have contact with their'loved ones'.
What about the victims loved ones. They have been handed a life sentence of mental torture.
Bring back Capital punishment and rid us of these vermin !

I guess splinters from sitting on the fence won't be a problem for you then?
