I'm off to the farmers market this morning. Need some stuff for tomorrows dinner party. that's today taken care of.

Bit of a win recently, local shire council wish to sell some of my items through their visitors centre. Draw back is they want a 50% profit margin.

Hmm, after jumping through burning hoops I'll be discounting my price.
Better than them collecting dust at home though.

Money grabbing gits!

Grey sky all day here, I've counted the raindrops, 3 so far.
Could do with a deluge, garden's a dust bowl, water tanks are low.

A dust bowl here too, it's looking like we may get some rain today. The farmers desperately need it. They are having to feed their livestock on their winter feed.

Just had a lightning flash with the obligatory rumble of thunder.

Just looked out, it's raining!

Farmers here are trucking grain and hay from as far as Western Oz if they can afford it or shooting their stock.
Haven't had decent rain for a long time. Paddocks are dry, the only ones with feed at hand are the ones with irrigation rights, expensive way to water.

What's on the menu tomorrow?
For us it will be zap some frozen casserole as we wont be home until late.
Today, pickled pork with roast veg and some sort of sauce I'll invent later.

For tomorrow.
Starter. Mushroom soup
Main. Roast leg of lamb, with boiled potatoes, carrots, broccoli/cauliflower mix, and gravey
pud. coconut panna cotta

I wouldn't be surprised if a drop of ale didn't find it's way into it!

Not sure what sauce I'll make tonight, start with a basic white and add flavour.
