City hall have given the green light to a crowdfunded blimp depicting an angry Donald Trump throwing a temper tantrum in a nappy, meaning it will be flying over Parliament Square on the day of his visit.

Do you think this is a valid piece of satire or do you think this should have been disallowed so as not to annoy the President?

Throw out... Not through.
Zacs, //A quick google of ‘trump & wife body language’ reveals many sources. Most of them US based.//

Having witnessed the deliberately manufactured venom flying around here they could just as well be UK based.
But they’re not.
Anyone with their hands up?
Don’t shoot! ;-)

OP//Why exactly should we be doing what American chat commenters want us to do? //

Haha Delicious.

I admit, if they both go up, I will indeed find that quite funny :)
Deliciously......unconnected.
That will be called a "hate crime" no doubt TTT. :))
We are constantly told we can't do this and we can't do that, as it may offend certain groups, well as proven on here this Baby Trump blimp offends many not only on here but outside in the real world.

So why on earth is it being allowed?
Pathetic. Great way to diss the USA. We're going to need them after Brexit. Like or loathe Trump this is no way to treat an American president. Purile and counter-productive.
The OP's link says that the GLA reversed their decision after a petition gathered over 10,000 signatures. So, AOG, if you want to stop it, why not begin a petition to do so and hope you gather 11,000 signatures from those 'outside in the real world'.

Is it really acceptable to compromise our freedom of expression because of our dependence on the US?
Which blimp will be refused permission by either the Metropolitan Police or National Air Traffic Service?
It's a cheap publicity stunt, that's all. If something like that truly puts US-UK relations at the kind of risk people seem to fear, though... what does that say about the current crop of national leaders? It should have no impact whatsoever.
It is supposed to be part of a peaceful protest and Khan has given permission for it to be flown for two hours on the morning of Trumps visit. Just hope that Trump sleeps in late that day. It's a stupid demoralizing stunt.
Publicity for what Jim?
Presumably, publicity for the people/campaign groups who funded it.
