These lists and the results therein are fatuous. People in the UK have a basic honesty across the board and particularly at work, which means we never do well in surveys of any description or subject - apart from honesty and probity.
In some other countries people big it up as part of their nature and give themselves a 10 wherever possible - this just doesn't happen here.

Only necessary if your aim is to show the UK at the bottom of the list instead of right near the top. If your aim is to knock the country rather than praise it.
