"we" aren't. I am assuming that representatives of our government are.
They weren't terrorists.

To ascertain whether the level of response to the rioting was justified.

what has it git to do with us? I am often berated for talking about what other countries do.
ToraToraTora, please can you be more aware of the acronyms you are using and the context in which they are used. Sometimes, they can come across as offensive.

No more needs to be discussed on the matter.
if hamas were removed, maybe a peace could begin, israel is not going to disappear or be removed, some may not like it..but you have to get on with your neighbor, even if they have superior fire power, choice is just carry on protesting and maybe be killed, or maybe they think they are martyrs and going to heaven..probably, but still dead and someones loss.

...and as we've been "warned" recently by PC Plod:

" being insulting, abusive or offensive can and will result in a prosecution under the Malicious Communications Act 1988"
Is the Ed on her hols?
I have no idea why we would.

This part of the world is just madness - on all sides. As Paddy Pantsdown said this morning in sky nothing will be achieved until both sides are ready for peace - and at the moment they are not.
"They weren't terrorists. "

You know that for certain do you?
The protocol for lethal fire is as a last resort, when the forces feel their lives are directly threatened.

The large number of unframed civilians shot dead or wounded appears to somewhat fly in the face of that protocol, and that is what the investigation, if conducted, will be investigating.
Unframed?
Oops, missed that one - a but of predictive text slipped past - should have been 'unarmed'.
TTT, //what has it git to do with us?//

As I understand it, and I might be wrong, Mrs May has called for an investigation, I'm guessing not by us, but by the UN.

andy-hughes, //The protocol for lethal fire is as a last resort, when the forces feel their lives are directly threatened. //

I wouldn't be sure that their lives weren't directly threatened. In my opinion there are few Palestinians who would shed a tear at the demise of the whole population of Israel.
There will be no peace between the Israel and Palestine , until the second coming .
58 deaths I suppose is what is to investigate

I mean for the 52 deaths in Manchester there were inquiries ( more than one!) and no one said - they're dead for chrissakes - what's to investigate ?
they as in the liddle children
