Another thing we have Bliar to thank for.
Special status for these, and other, scum.

Looks like the tributes went back up. And then came down again. I reckon this will not be the end of it, nor will it end well.
Totally agree Spice.
>>>I think I heard on the radio something about how the recently departed was 'too good to walk the Earth'.

Yes one of the cards pinned to the wall was from this man's father who wrote:

"You were to too good for this earth"

One newspaper said he did as follows (showing what scum he really was)

"In 2009, he was jailed for six years after charging an OAP £72,000 to replace a single tile on his roof. Vincent, described in court as a drug addict, told the pensioner his roof joists were rotten and showed him maggots as proof".
Agree too Spice.
Much as I usually stick up for the travelling community more generally, I think it's vitally important that this man is re-homed elsewhere, preferably with a change of identity as the fires are going to be burning a long time over this, and as barmaid said it won't end well.

A few people have said 'This Man and his Wife unable to return home'

I haven't seen any mention of him having a Partner.

Definitely not in a remote location, Spath. A far more secure location is needed and somewhere the police can get to quickly.

Baldric in practically every article I've read, it mentions his wife. In one, he fought back to protect her.
I'm not 'technical' Baldric, or I would have done that for you ...
“But i think to respect the dead is more serious than others may feel but that's just my opinion.”

Unfortunately, spathi, some people forfeit the right to respect by their behaviour towards others. That right is not automatically restored simply because they die, especially when they do so in the circumstances in which this vile piece of excrement did.

Now, not content with spawning such scum, encouraging and supporting his despicable lifestyle, his relatives talk of him as a hero who was “too good to walk the earth”. They go on to vow “revenge” on a 78 year old who had the temerity to defend his property and wife against an armed intruder in the middle of the night. They will still live comfortably in council-provided accommodation in Star Lane whilst his victim and his sick wife are forced to up sticks and live in exile.

No respect deserved whilst alive, spathi, and certainly none now either.

“Much as I usually stick up for the travelling community more generally,…”

You should drastically re-think your priorities for those you support, kvalidir.
The instigator of this appalling home invasion now ceases to exist. His own actions caused his own demise.
His family should slink away in shame. Unfortunately they have no concept of decency, except towards their own. They are now intimidating an innocent victim, thereby showing their own despicable nature. Leave the old man alone, learn, and move on.
Just read a friend of dead guy said they would get revenge no matter what....
Travelers can get very aggressive and intimidating. Especially so when they feel aggrieved. If they spotted whoever it was taking the floral tributes down, even if it were the householder, they would not think twice about 'educating' said householder.

They are entitled to mourn and such like. It is a family and community member after all. It will not even register that the man was burglaring the house and went armed. That is their profession after all and why should anyone going about their usual profession be stopped or thought badly of.

Other than they stick together and have a strong community spirit which I do to andegree admire I think they are scum and don't have any of my sympathy other than for that of another human being has been killed.

Sorry if that isn't PC or compassionate enough but you make your bed and you lay in it. Sometimes permanently.
intimidating or not, I don't think its right to put memorials on someone else's property. Memorials to a bloke who was robbing the house owner when he died is so far outside right that its not even visible using the Hubble Telescope
David....many of them don't even have decency towards their own.
Move him out, fine, but who's going to want to buy his house????
