No mollycoddling here.

The reporter should get a raise, a medal and an achievement award for this article and the dm has certainly redeemed itself and catapulted itself to the front pages of my “cool book” as I’m sure it has in your book.

Jan Moir isn't a "reporter"....she's a hired, personally-opinionated, very well-paid writer...
Pretty standard DM stuff.
i don't have a lot of sympathy for him, he nearly killed three people, there is not a lot more one can say.
One can always depend on the Daily Mail to tell it as it is, that is why some would like it to be banned.
no one wants it banned, its too popular for that to happen.
Absolutely everything she says was said in one form or another by ABers discussing this the other day - so absolutely nothing special or unique about it.

It’s a great read filled with mass hysteria, shock horror stories, inappropriate headlines, spin, rabble rousing articles, fantasy, make believe and sometimes the truth, lol I kid but seriously sometimes a reporter or writer smashes and breaks through the mould and delivers a hard hitting article that is just sooo on the money it resonates with your heart, mind body and soul and making you think “ you know what, everything at this millisecond in life as the world stands still....everything is right with the universe.

Almost brings s year to my eye with its suction of emotions, it really does.
Is that the tequila speaking?
For those who won't bother to open up ther link, this about says it all, anyone disagree?

/// However, the fact that he reportedly drove a car while over the drink-drive limit and nearly ended the lives of an entire family shows a recklessness that will be hard for most to forgive. ///

/// You wouldn't have guessed this from television reports the next day, mind you. It wasn't long before the Showbiz Pals Battalion (Daytime Telly Company) raised rifles and rushed to Ant's defence. ///

/// On Monday morning, an empathetic Lorraine Kelly sent her best wishes to McPartlin while discussing the accident on her live ITV show. ///

/// She did not mention the family whose three-year-old daughter was taken to hospital, nor extend the same sympathetic courtesies to them. ///

/// On This Morning later, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby coped by Not Mentioning The Incident At All, an unusual omission for a couple who are usually all over the latest celeb
scuttlebutt. ///

/// One can only imagine the coverage the incident would have received on their show had it been a star in the car who'd been hit by a drunk-driver, instead of the other way around. ///

/// Surely we'd never have heard the end of it. Holly's bottom lip would have been trembling like a snowdrop in a storm, Phillip would have been oscillating with righteous anger. ///

LOOL! Probably, I think it expands the mind ;)
Nothing new, she got it right. Leave him and the family involved alone now .

Great idea aog, some don’t open links or can’t do copy and paste for those as you see fit :)

Do? SO
jackthehat

Yes there are certainly some clowns about, and not only those who attempt to read all newspapers.

You really need to calm down and get a sense of perspective here!

Jan Moir is a regular columnist for the Mail.

You obtain, and keep that job by writing about issues and in a style that absolutely chimes with your readership. If all your readers are nodding with agreement over their cereal, then the columnist is doing their job. The Mail even has a slogan for Ms Moir - "Are you thinking what she's thinking?"

So, as advised, Ms Moir has chosen a currently newsworthy topic and written a piece that will absolutely sign agreement with the Mail's demographic.

In columnist terms, which is not as easy a job as it looks, this is the equivalent of shooting fish in a barrel, and far from deserving a raise, a medal and an achievement award, all Ms Muir deserves for doing her job is her high salary, which she gets anyway.

You are clearly an ideal Mail reader, they would love a million like you!!
Still trying to foster the community spirit you say is needed here then, Jahulaye?
AOG - // For those who won't bother to open up ther link, this about says it all, anyone disagree? //

I don't watch morning TV, so I can't get worked up into a lather about the reactions of other TV presenters - so I don't agree or disagree - I just don't care.
I wish everyone would stop with the ( copy and paste) we can read if we wish, its juvenile . I ignore any post that has any .

Anne’s with all due respect on one of my other threads one user said that they don’t click on links and another said that they can’t as they don’t open on the device that they’re using as well as others who don’t have the time don’t copy and pasting snippets of bite sized articles for those mentioned we are including ALL thus fostering a nurturing helping community spirit which is the spirit of answerbank :)
