Both Maplins and ToysRus according to FT have poor biz models and have not innovated. Prices not competitive. Homebase, Debenhams and Mothercare will be next. Remember C&A? Blockbuster? Virgin Records? MFI? BHS? Woolworth? Books etc? Pier 1? Lesson to us all = customer first, keep up with technology and market trends.
