With the conviction of Darren Osbourne, evidence in court shows he was radicalised by visiting the Britain First website over several weeks.
He then went on to kill someone in a terrorist attack, and injury scores of others.

// But the trigger for the attack was far-right internet propaganda he had become obsessed with over just a few weeks. //

// Police said the 48-year-old became radicalised in just three to four weeks, as evidence from devices he used show him reading posts by the former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson, far-right group Britain First and other extremists. //

Surely this shows that Britain First crosses the line from being a genuine protest group, and firmly places them in the position that they encourage terrorism, and indoctrinate gullible fools to commit murder.

Many muslim groups have been proscribed for less. They are on par with Scottish Dawn and should be treated similarly.

mikey; if you had taken the trouble to listen to what the man says in interviews such as the one I have cited above (the Gad Saad YouTube), before passing such swingeing ill-founded judgements, you would understand what threats and danger he, his wife and children are constantly under from vicious Muslim extremists and why he needs to try to protect them by using aliases.
Yaxley uses the name Tommy Robinson who is a member of a prominent member of the "Men In Gear" (MIG) football hooligan crew. Nothing to do with protecting his family.
Khandro....he used different aliases because he wanted to avoid recognition, sometimes from the Police....its got beggar all to with protecting his family.

Anyway, as all these false identities are now widely known, doesn't that defeat of object of having them is the first place.

Robinson isn't some kind of kindly folk hero....he is an ex-football hooligan. He is also a rabble-rousing racist, just like his friends in Britain First.

He is also an ex-Member of the British National Party.
Khandro - // you would understand what threats and danger he, his wife and children are constantly under from vicious Muslim extremists and why he needs to try to protect them by using aliases. //

I don't need aliases to protect my wife and children from anyone - most people don't.

That's because they live decent orderly lives and don't spend their days agitating and stirring up trouble against a group of extremists who already use violence to further their own ends.

The notion that anyone should feel sympathy for 'Robinson' when he drags is innocent children into his twisted attention-seeking nonsense is not worthy of consideration.
Garaman - // //I don't want an 'English Defence League' of self-aggrandising racist boneheads to save me thank you very much.//

I don’t either, Andy, but it isn’t just about you and me is it? There are a lot of people in the country who do want someone to speak up for their belief that the spread of Islam is a threat to the country. //

I've got someone thanks - he is my MP, he sits in Parliament and speaks for me there.

That's the way a civilised country makes its views known - not by getting a group of like-minded thugs together and rampaging around the streets being violent bullies and intimidating people who live in their area.
Khandro - // andy-hughes; //I have heard 'Tommy Robinson' intereviewed several times....//

I really do not believe this is true ...//

I really don't care if you believe this is true or not.

// I believe you may have seen one or two, out of context sound bites, shown for nefarious purposes. If I am wrong and you have in fact seen any complete interviews, please say which they were, who was the interviewer, and quote anything he has said which could be construed as to incite either racial hatred or violence. //

I am not in court, I am not required to give you 'evidence' of anything.

I am expressing a point of view in a debate, not answering prosecuting council, so climb down off your high horse and remember, you are on an internet site, not in Court Number One at the Old Bailey.
Zacs - // And let’s not forget that Robinson was convicted of assault after head butting one of his own EDL crowd in 2012 / entering the USA illegally in September 2012 using another persons documentation / conviction for ‘Threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour’ in 2010 after chanting “EDL till I die” in a football crowd.

Is this another one of your fruitcake ‘heros’ Khandro? //

I know that you, like me, are a seasoned debater on here, and you will, as I, have the measure of Khandro.

He likes to pump up people's passions with his provocations, but he becomes remarkably silent when defending points put to him - so don't hold your breath for an answer on this one.

I am not willing to submit to his pompous pseudo-lawyerly demands for 'evidence' that I have seen his hero interviewed, with dates and interviewer names - but I have informed him as such, so he is aware.
//I've got someone thanks...//

I did say it isn't just about you and me, Andy.

I don't like the violent thugs either, but some of what Tommy Robinson says should be said, and MP's in parliament probably aren't saying it. I was speaking about how he comes across in interviews, have you watched many in full?
Garaman - // I don't like the violent thugs either, but some of what Tommy Robinson says should be said, and MP's in parliament probably aren't saying it. //

If 'Tommy Robinson' was speaking about what he believes, then no problem, that is what freedom of speech is all about.

It's when speech stops and gangs in the streets start that I have an issue. He loves to come across as a rational intelligent family man with the future of his country (sorry, that has to be 'his' country) at heart.

But as his history shows, he is a violent fraudulent racist thug - because actions always speak louder than words.
Khandro - that's just the 'words' bit - aren't you going to like to some EDL mob thuggery in the interests of balance?
Andy, if you haven't watched that video, you should take the time to do so, or just not bother commenting on his views.
Garaman - // Andy, if you haven't watched that video, you should take the time to do so, or just not bother commenting on his views. //

I have watched it - every whining self-aggrandising self-justifying arrogant pompous bone-headed minute of it.

You won't be surprised to hear that listening to 'Mr Robinson' justify his stupidity is no more persuasive to me, than him listening to any radical terrorist spouting similar garbage would be to him.
//I have watched it - every whining self-aggrandising self-justifying arrogant pompous bone-headed minute of it.//

That sounds far more self-justifying, arrogant and pompous than anything he said.
Well said, Garaman.
Endless outpourings from a-h. and claims to have listened to what he has said, but still no reference to anything he has said, any quotes, which could be construed as racial-hatred or violence, (that is despite having all his front teeth smashed in by Muslim extremists).

I don't know how brave andy-hughes and mikey4444 are, but Tommy Robinson is a braver man than I am.
Khandro - // I don't know how brave andy-hughes and mikey4444 are, but Tommy Robinson is a braver man than I am. //

That says more about you, if you perceive 'Tommy Robinson' as a brave man, that it does about Mikey or I.
Khandro - // ... (that is despite having all his front teeth smashed in by Muslim extremists). //

I have reached this age with my teeth intact.

It's not been difficult, I simply avoid being within arm's length of anyone who I even think has an outside chance of being violent, and that's really quite easy.

If you avoid violent confrontation, which you can by not going looking for it, then you can live your life free or violence.

If you are a convicted thug, and you confront violent people, there is a heightened chance that you will come of worse.

But if - as you imply, 'Mr Robinson' shlould be seen as some sort of saintly other-cheek-turner, than you are frankly having a laugh.
If you avoid violent confrontation, which you can by not going looking for it, then you can live your life free or violence.

Only if you are also lucky
More vitriol and still no quotes from him .
